Hello all!  There were a few of us planning a May  03 get together on the old board.  We decided to call our little group COTOC - " Campers Of The Original Colonies" ....  It seems that our info didn t to make it to this new board, and I hope that it wasn t all lost.  Is there a way to access the " old stuff"  and also, can we have a forum in this new and improved 2003 PUT board like the old " camping clubs"  section??  I hope everyone has a great New Year!

copcarguy

copcarguyOK, OK.... I just found this sentence on the front page of the forums:

" The Camping Club Forums will be online in a few days, once we iron out a database issue with our host."

I guess I answered one of my own questions....  DUH on me!

 copcarguyCopcarguy,
I was thinking the same thing until I saw that post. I was getting worried that it was just me not catching all the new stuff on this board. It is a little disconerting at first. I was wondering where you guys went. I played with the board a couple of weeks before I came back on. So, With all this snow....do ya think we will be able to get out by Mother s Day?
 Welcome back!

copcarguyWe had a sidebar going on way back then about something a little closer to some of us. And sooner too!

So if anyone wants something sooner or further south, there are at least 3 families going to Yogi Bear at Tall Pines near Elmer NJ. I have sites reserved, but the ones not taken get released on Monday.
this trip is April 11 -13.

 copcarguyTracy,
Am trying to convince my gang to do RB Winter SP Memorial Day weekend with you guys but 2 May trips may be a problem (soccer season conflicts). I think I found an angle. Realized Knoebels Amusement Park is about an hour from RB Winter SP so just casually asked my youngest if she d like to go back to Knoebels. She said yes, even knowing we wouldn t be camping there but elsewhere with the group. Now that I have an ally (and she s the one that would have to give up the soccer game), I ll work on the others. Could you please send me some site recommendation info for RB Winter SP? I didn t think to print it out from the old board. Thanks.

copcarguyHersheyGirl and I walked the campground last fall and rated most of the sites.  S mall, M edium and L arge and 1 to 5, 1 being bad 5 great.  We took things like atmosphere (the babling brook, view, etc. into that catagory).  We are on sites 9 rated M, 3+ & 11 rated L, 3+.  Beckie really likes the stream behind the sites.  They are electric, not my favorite sites but pretty good.  In the area where we are 12,15 and 16 are handicap sites all of them are M with 12 and 15 getting 3+ and 16 just a 3.  I am assuming most people would want electric, if not I can tell you about all of the good non-electric sites.  6 is a M+, 3 and two levels, but right next to the extra car parking lot.  Good if you have 2 cars.  7 is rated M, 3 and is sort of together wtih site 8 rated M-, 3.  10 is a L, 3 and more open; 13 is L+, 3, it is wide and very large; 14 is L, 3+.  33 sits right on the point by the bath house.  If you like to watch everyone that is the site you want, rating M,3 easy to back into.  The road goes uphill going from site 33 to 34 and 35.  34 is rated M, 3; 35 is L, 5 both are easy to back into.  I have never been able to get site 35.  37 is two level S+, 3-; 38 I don t know how you would back up into it.  It sits above the road and is a trailer site, but I have only seen tents up there.  You would have to be a master backer to get up there.  39 thru 47 are all smaller sites rated S, 2.  50 is an L, 5 and more open. The bath room by sites 57 and 58 is a pit toilet.  The other bathroom is very modern with showers and a family access bathroom.  The lake is right across from the campground entrance down a small hill. I hope this helps and if you need more info  me know.  If anyone does want info on non-electric sites let me know.  Most of my favorites are non-electric.  They were upgrading sites last fall when we were there making some of the poorer sites nicer[:)]

copcarguyI emailed PUT to see if they could move this thread to the Camping Club section. I requested a COTOC camping club entry for our group as the Mid-Atlantic camping club entry is for the Yahoo Mid-Atlantic group. Let s hope we get a section to make it easier to organize our trips.
