On my 99 Mesa the piece mounted on the camper that the handle or Socket Genie slides into unscrewed.  After looking at this piece there is an additional nut inside this piece and floats behind the pin that the handle crank catchs on.  I drove the pin out and there is a plastic bushing and a compressed flat spring along with the nut.  I see how I can screw the piece back onto the camper and then put the bushing and spring back in.  I can then screw the nut (I m guessing it s acting like a lock nut) on and drive the pin back in place but I cannot figure out what the bushing is for and if this is final fix.  Anyone ever have this problem?

LKaskelI have to admit, this is the first itme I have heard this one.

You may need to stop by your dealer and ask thier advice.  If they are nice they may give you a photocopy of the parts page for the crank assembly.  This will show an " exploded"  view of all the parts as they should be assembled.  While I have never needed a copy, my dealer has allowed me to look stuff up before.
