Has anyone camped there recently?  (It s in western Indiana.)  Pro s and con s?  Thanks.

reallygreenI last camped there a year ago.  This is one of our favorite SP s for hiking.  The campground is large. spacious and usually full.  so be sure and make a reservation.  there is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, the Parke County covered bridges, Mansfield Mill, Billie Creek Village etc.  If you are really ambitious and have hiked all the trails at Turkey you and run over to the Shades for even more hiking.  This is another park we really like.  Nice modern bath house, but no electric hook ups at the Shades, consequently it is not nearly as crowded as Turkey Run.  Check them both out, you will not regret it.

And don't forget it's a  great stopping off point to do canoeing down Sugar Creek.  Excellent canoeing - not too slow for good canoers, but not too fast for the kids and dogs.

Probably the best campground in Indiana.  And as Garrett said, it's usually full for that reason, esp. in the autumn near overed Bridge Festival.
