The family and I are considering a visit to DC this summer. Cherry Hill appears to be the closest site to the DC area. Has anyone stayed there? Good? Bad? We have 5 small children. Thanks in advance.

mcmanusfamTo be honest, living in the DC area we try to get away when camping.

I have put together as much info on the Dc area I could find on my [link=http://www.title-3.com/DCCamping.htm]Camping in the Washington DC Area Web Page[/link]

From what folks have said it is a nice campground, but the most common complaint I heard was from highway noise.

Apparently there is a MetroBus (public transportation) stop right at the campground.

Hope you have a nice visit.

mcmanusfamI ve never stayed at this campground....and frankly, can t imagine ever wanting to. Noise?  Yep...it s right off the main interstate!  We re in the DC Metro Area too.
