Well, father s day just passed and that s always a good thing for camping men! I had a hunch I was getting a few camping-related things I wanted and sure enough, Mrs. Sacto came through, and then some [].
 
 She bought me the Coleman grill/stove/griddle combo and also (unexpected) one of those lightweight aluminum folding tables.....both from Camping World. I can t wait to try them out this weekend at the Gold Rush Rally!
 
 So did any of you dads get anything camping related for father s day?

I got a Labor Day weekend camping trip to Rollins Pond Campground in New York!!! I ve been wanting to go there to paddle, now I can! So if anyone is familiar with Rollins Pond, please see my question in the North Atlantic Campground reviews section!

My DD s came thru with a folding hammock, what s great is they picked it out themselves. The quality is great and it sets up like a camping chair. I was very pleased, can t wait to go camping next weekend so I can give it a test snooze.

Well I went the other way for my husband this year.
 He was given a Malt Scotch Whisky.  Single malt THE BALVENIE, doublewood aged 12 years.  I hope that one day he finds the time to sit, relax and sip on it, maybe when he retires.

After spending virtually *all* weekend helping some friends remodel their shop (even had to leave the house before the family awoke yesterday morning [>:] ), I stumbled home to find a Shrimp, Wild Rice, and Broccoli dinner, a batch of warm Toll-House chocolate chip cookies waiting for me for dessert, and two *Very Special Cards* addressed to Daddy-- attached to a Coleman " Camping Drip Coffeemaker" .
 
 What a nice way to end the weekend. We ll use that coffeemaker on every dry camping trip we take.

Raymond got a riding lawn mower so he can get the lawn done quicker, a Homelite Combo set of an 18 volt weed wacker and a, 18 volt hedge trimmer, 3 pairs of his favorite loafers and a power washer so we/I can wash the campers (drive way, mini van, truck siding....)

I received a Coleman " Camping Drip Coffeemaker"  as well.  Boy will I miss that cowboy coffee and the coffee grounds in my teeth all day.

I got one of those Front Avenue Stainless Steel BBQ s from Costco.  I ve used it twice already and love it.

I went to the Great Frederick Hamfest& Computer Show. Had a nice time selling off some of my unused " treasures" .

CAPEd CODger forgot to mention the DVD s he received from his DW and the Sam s Club gift certificate from his DD and DS.........how LUCKY do you think he s going to get when he gets home???

I got a Canon Digital Camera.  Now maybe I can start my own web page!!  Plus my Dad came out from St Louis to visit for the weekend.  We all had a great crab and shrimp dinner Sunday evening at home.  Could not have asked for more.

Great family day..a cookout.  Best of all a great new receipe book called " A Man...A CAN...AND A PLAN" .   Some receipes DW thought I could handle.

DH got a 2003 Ford F350 to go with my new 2003 Rockwood Midprofile Ultralight 5th wheel...[] We got a spectacular deal for our PU, one we could not pass up, and this puts us one step closer to our dream of full timing!

I was able to have our DIL and granddaughter with us for the weekend and then our son came back from a meeting to spend the night. All of us were there for breakfast and then off to Best But to get a wireless router and PCMCIA card. After an hour on the phone with a tech person, we were up and running. Now both of us can be on line together.

I got a wonderful camping trip at the Basalt Campground (San Luis Resevoir),a California State Parks t-shirt,and a great salsa verde dinner out, at Cilantros in Watsonville,Ca.
