 HI folks,

Well as usual, DH and I hooked up the trailer lastnight (last minute) to take it down the street to fill the tires abit and noticed that there are NO trailer lights - the brake lights and signal lights will not come on - the truck s lights are working but somewhere in the camper the connection isn t happening - they looked at it last night for a couple of hours and found nothing - but did assess that it is the trailer and not the truck causing the problem.....
DH is contacting the dealer this a.m. to see what they can suggest - I am coming to the best place I know for assistance and direction that only my PUT friends can provide!!!!
If you have ever experienced this or have any suggestions - please let me know - feel free to email me as well - I appreciate your help!!!!
We are supposed to leave at 1:30 this afternoon.  YIKES!!!!

PopupnutMurphy s Law gets us every time.  When we had your problem it was corrosion on the plug and socket.  The male plug is easy to clean with some very fine sand paper.  The female outlet can best be cleaned with an electirician s contact file (thin flat 1/4"  wide, available at large electrical supply stores).  In a pinch use an emery board.  You need to cut down the width to fit in the plug, using two at a time may apply more pressure to scrape down to bare metal.  Anyway, the emery board should get you going.

As soon after that as you get the chance get a contact cleaner (auto supply store, Radio Shack, etc) and squrit it in there.

 Enjoy your trip,
 Bob

PopupnutHope you have solved problem - If not check the fuse of TV - some vehicles have a separate fuse for trailer connection - especially if factory tow package.  Usually the most simple thing fro example if hooking connections while hot - one could easily short circuit and blow fuse.  Good Luck![:)]

PopupnutBesides checking fuses, look at you tow vehicles light setting.  On my Astro the brack lights and turn signals do not work on trailer if I have the van s lights to automatic daylight running lights.  Only the trailer running lights work.  I have to change the van s light setting to manual headlights for the brake lights and turn signals on the trailer to come on.  It may be a GM thing.
