Hey it was a compliment ...... I meant that they could find all the answers to all the questions they could ever think of in your web site , and thus would never ask us anything. When I re-read what I wrote, It also came off to me, the meaning does not really came out, apologies.

 We hope to travel light.

Once you see and read about everyone s modifications and latest doodad that they " needed"  for their PU, your plans for " traveling light"  will quickly become a thing of the past! [;)]

 Welcome and enjoy!! [:D]

shay63Welcome to PUT, Shay! Sorry I missed your original post.

QuoteOnce the pup is road ready, will need to look for a TV as the 91 Escort is a bit small.

I take it, then, that the Escort is not going to be your tow rig? Good. Cuz if it is, you WILL need trailer brakes, you WILL need a tranny cooler, and you WILL need to keep your AAA membership current. [:o]

I have no idea what the exact tow rating for a  91 Escort is, but I would bet that a 1500 lbs. pop-up, two adults, two kids, and *packing light* would be waaaaaaay over the limit, since the rating for a 2000 Escort was only 1000 lbs.

So what s the tow rig gunna be? [;)]

Ab DiverHaving read a lot of comments on several different sites (this is one of the best), I  would lean toward a Jeep Cheroke 4.0 for power, size and economy as reported by other owners.  The other day DW saw a bright yellow Tracker and loved it.  Thankfully it is underpowered also.
