copcarguyHi there. We might join you on that weekend, since we couldn t make it in may, when the COTOC group stayed there. Can t wear those t-shirts that Tracy sent me, until I camp there!
We are going to Maine for a week this wednesday and then for a week to the Adirondacks, can t wait! I guess everybody else is on vacation, too, since it s been pretty quiet on the " COTOC Site" .
Will you be at the Hickory Run Trip in Sept.?
 Take care.
 Andy
PS. Could you recommend any sites? TIA

Just curious -- where in the Adirondack s?  (My personal favorite spot in the whole world so far[:D]).

Just got back from Wilmington NY (North Pole Resorts), spent a couple of weekends at Sacandaga CG in Wells NY and have Labor Day booked for Lake Luzerne as well.

copcarguyHey Andy - yes we ll be heading back to Hickory Run " the third chapter"  in late Sept.

It would be great if you could come to North Lake!!  My favorite site at North Lake is 171, but it was taken for this particular weekend so I reserved 177 which is right next door.  I just checked reserveamerica.com and I see that 178 is also reserved.  If you reserved 169, 170, or 179 you d be really close.  179 is right on the water, 169 in the woods, and 170 is a mix.  [8D]  Click here for a map of the CG:

Hope you can make it - the trees are beautiful there in the fall!

 copcarguyHello guy s
Sorry, could not respond sooner.,just walked in the door, coming back from our two week vacation.(And I m on PUT right away? THAT S SICK!)

GIA, we have always been camping at Cranberry Lake State Park, with the exeption of one time at Fish Creek/Rollins Pond State Park.
The Cranberry Lake SP has been voted the best campground(State Campground?) of 2002.
There are NO hook ups,but we love it.Unfortunately, its getting crowded.
Interesting, that you were in Wells,NY. We spent a week in Wells,Maine, before we went to the Adirondack s.Wells Beach Camp Resort in Maine was a very nice campground,it better be at $45 plus at night, but you could not drink the water because of to much chlorine. At Cranberry Lake at $15 a night the water is just fine, and I just found out today, that it was natural spring water, without chlorine, but this year for the first the state mandates that all campgrounds add chlorine.
 Still tasted great.

 COPCARGUY
Thanks for the advise on the sites.I will check on them right away.I hope others will join.
Will see you at Hickory Run.

Have a great trip guys. :)

We arrived just after the 9pm checkin time but the rangers were expecting us and let us register. Surprised to see snow as we approached North-South - no snow back in Jersey. While waiting for Chris to arrive with the popup, Kelsey and I managed to get a fire going in the snow covered fire pit.

Snow eventually melted during the weekend and we had a great time. Went exploring Hunter Mtn and surrounding town on Sat; Jason was busy looking for a sports restaurant with hopes of watching Sat night's Yankee game. We wound up listening to the Yankees lose on the radio that night, while sitting in front of the fire. Took a hike up to the mtn top with other PUT members. Also walked to the waterfalls. WIsh we had the chance to see them from the bottom. Upon leaving on Sun, I drove down 23A, and the view was beautiful. Such vivid colors!

Gotta rush off to Kelsey's soccer game. Thanks everyone - it was another nice PUT weekend.

Thanks everyone for a "cool" trip...  (pun intended!)  Just as an early reminder, we'll be at North Lake for opening weekend May 7-9, 2004 on 171, and again on June 18-20, 2004 on 177.  Make your reservations!!!!
