Since no body seems to enjoy posting anymore here, here is a bit of news. And yeah, camping is not an excuse. Look at Wynot, he carries a Laptop and can post while camping too [;)] I intend to do the same when I get a job !

Anyways ! We are getting our very very own Wallmart only 1 minute or less driving distance away from us ! The closest one was 15 minutes,a nd the big one around 20 minutes away. I was having nightmares of not being able to make it to them before they close, when the PU comes home, and we have to go camping and need something at the very last second.

Now, I can be thee in aminute ! I hope it will be a big one! We are also getting an LCBO (Liquor store) I am not so sure if this is a good thing or not ! After all I am addictive and obsessive !

So what is going on where you live ?

birolIf I had a super Walmart anywhere near me, I d have too much stuff to fit it all in my house or camper!  [:D]

What s going on in my neighborhood...

The gas company is STILL fixing our street.  A year ago, we called them because we kept smelling gas in the front of our house.  They came out and dug up our sidewalk and replaced the valve -- or something like that.  This year, my neighbor called for a smell of gas in front of his house.  They came and tore up his sidewalk and then notified the entire block that they had to replace the entire main on our street.  I thank my neighbor for THAT!  [;)]  Anyway, they started this project in May and tore up our sidewalks, driveway " skirts"  and MY FRONT AND SIDE LAWNS (since I live on the corner)!  After starring at pile of dirt and stone and a couple backhoes next to my house, the first crew finished all the demolition and repair after 3-4 weeks, but not before they put their stone and equipment so close to my driveway that I feared being able to get our camper out.  Luckily, we were able to talk to the fore person and they were kind enough to shift everything down on our property (and kill more grass) so we could get our camper out.  The first crew left a mess and another crew came in the put topsoil and grass seed down a few weeks after that.  They pretty much didn t do much more than put dirt around.  Now, they are repairing the sidewalks and driveway and are making a muddy mess again.  I just want it all to be over with, except that we ll end up having to fix our lawns ourselves as they never do as good a job as we would like.  Part of me wants to be like a woamn down the street who FREAKED on them and they came out and put sod down for her.  Hmmm... that is starting to sound like a good idea!!!

I guess I just need to camp more to not look at it all...Oh wait... I AM camping this weekend!  [8D]

Supposedly, they are tearing up our street.  It s needed it since before we moved there 20 years ago.  But, in the past, they would just surface treat it.  Last week, we got a letter about tearing up streets in our area and ours was on there and that they would be torn up and all cars would have to be moved.  If the street is either lowered or raised, they would also redo the apron of our driveway (YEAH) --it s need it, but DH hasn t gotten around to it.

It s no rumour where we live, it s a fact.
Trader Joe s is opening a store less than 1/4 mile from our house.
Now we already have a Lunardi s a mile away, so we will be spoilt for choice[:)]

birolI have a Trader Joes nearby.  My mom says it s WAY smaller than the one she was at in San Francisco, but it ll do for me.  I love just poking around in there looking for new and interesting things!  My daughter LOVES the gummi bear vitamins!  [8D]

birolWell, I am in small town USA and the bank was robbed about 3/4 mi from where I live and a local saw the man leave the bank. She followed his truck until she got the license plate to call the police and a local newpaper photographer heard the report on his police scanner and spotted the robber a few minutes later.  He called the police and stayed on the trail until they went around him.   Last week the Sheriff s depart was busy recovering a little boy s dirt bike that was stolen, and again, it was citizen s that saw it happening an somehow got lic. plate and followed until the robbers were caught.  Don t try to steal anything around here.  This place is being watched by everyone.[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]

Hey this is what makes a place a good place to live ! You are lucky ! Ont he same tone, eysterday while doing collections, we came home to drink a glass of water etc and left shortly afetrwards. When we came home, as I was putting the key in the lock the door just swan open. We had forgotton to lock the door. Luckily, it is a good area of the town and nothing had happened. Not the first time we did this either.
