While we were camping, we had several people come and go from the area.

One guy from Montreal, bought a " Trail Vision"  on the internet and the dealer happened to be just up the road from Indian Lake.  He said that even with the exchange rate and the cost of taking across the boarder, he would still be saving $6,000 by doing it this way.

They only stayed one night and did have a Coleman PU previously.

Now here s the part that I hope they were OK doing.

Backed in OK,  left the trailer attached to the TV and lowered the stabilizers (did not level in anyway).  We asked about that, and he didn t think it would hurt anything since they were only staying for a day (2 adults, 2 teenage boys, and a dog).

 Any comments??

I m beginning to wonder about those canadians???[;)][;)]

angelsmom10I guess I don t see what your asking?

TT could stay hitched, Why not?
And Leveled, Maybe it was level?

Now if Birol was the only Canadian I knew, Then I would probably be concerned.[:D] But luckily, I also know a few normal Canadian s.[;)]

What a relief ! [:)]

angelsmom10I don t see anything wrong, unless they used the stabilizers to " level"  the PU, which it doesn t sound like they did. It might have been unlevel, but if they want to sleep in an unlevel PU, then it looks OK to me.

angelsmom10As long as he doesn t forget,
 and jumps in the truck,
 and heads to the store,
to get some food for the dog,
 he should be O.K.[;)]

That would be RVWholesalers.com (Durnell s RV) of Lakeview Ohio. I bought my new Trail Cruiser from them. They have the best prices around!!! I saved $3700 over what the local dealer wanted for the exact same trailer, and I wound up with a few extra s the local dealer didn t have on his.... They even beat CFO by $200...

 I don t know.

And we did ask if he had to level it and he said that he should, but he wasn t going to since it was just for 1 night.  Just not sure how the frame and everything if the stabilizers are down and not leveled with 4 people walking around and everything.  I know if it were us, especially since it was brand new... everything would be done properly just to keep anything from happening.

angelsmom10We have on occassion not leveled our camper perfectly and everything has been fine.  It s not something we re in the habit of doing, but what looked to be only slightly off on our level ended up being noticeable when walking in the camper (up or down slope) and we made sure to sleep with our heads on the high end since we didn t feel like re-adjusting for just a night or two!  [;)]

That was the first couple times we set up and have since gotten the hang of it.  We still purposefully set the back side of the camper lower so the AC drains off that side instead of over the awning, plus the shower drain is on that side of the camper.

It doesn t hurt the camper if you are a LITTLE off - at least not for the hybrids.  Their frames are a lot stronger than a pop-ups.

angelsmom10We set the PU up at home and don t level it side to side, just front to back.  It is close but not level.  It has never caused a problem for us.

I thought one had to level them only for the fridge to work properly .....?
