We approached this one with some trepidation (see our KOA post in the CA section).  We were pleasantly surprised with a total bill of $29 after AAA discount (3 adults, 2 teens, 1 dog, water & electric).  All of the usual KOA amenities.  If Valley of the Rogue Stat Park is full, this is a good option.

 3 thumbs up

abbearAllen, since you mentioned Valley of the Rouge.... we stayed there a couple-3 years ago. HUGE sites, HUGE grassy area between the campground and the Rouge River, some noise fronm the highway, but the train that rolled throug in the middle of the night... dunno where the tracks are, but it sounded pretty close. But overall a great campground. Anyway, next time you are up that way, check out a campground called Indian Mary s: right on the Rouge, the Jet Boats pick you up at the campground dock, and I ve heard very good things about it. Never been there myself, but a lot of the people riding with us on the jet boat said it was a great campground. IIRC, it used to be the smallest reservation in the USA, and the Native American it was deeded to left it to his Daugther, Mary. Hence the name.

abbearValley of the Rogue is one we ve been at before as well and you re right - BIG grassy sites.  This was my target for Saturday but they were full hence the trip to the KOA.

Haven t heard of the other one but will look it up in my " Northwest Camping"  - sounds pretty interesting.
