tim5055Today is Wednesday and my sister and I went to the RV show.  It was something to see.  It was much larger this year, with what seemed to be miles and miles of RV s everywhere.  We looked at all of the brands of popups, a really good representation of what is out there.  I did fall in love with one popup....the Fleetwood Highlander, Sequoia.  It has everything that I want in a camper and then some.   Now I need to work on the DH.  It is one nice camper.  I did not see Dave or PUT there.  I check and checked, but no Dave.   This was the first time for my sister to see the show and she was just overwhelmed.  We had a great time.  Go to this show if you get a chance, you won t be sorry.[8D][8D][8D]

tim5055I went to the show today (Thursday) and I have a few words of advice for those that will be attending...Get plenty of rest, wear a good pair of walking shoes and get there early as there is much to see. With the new buildings now open, the show is expansive. I thought that it was 100% better than last year s show which I thought was short on PU displays. This year all of the manufacturers are there with, from what I could tell, all of their models.

I took notice to the PU s previously known as Coleman s that now had the Coleman name missing and on some of the display models had the name Fleetwood pasted over what I m sure is Coleman. " A rose by any other name is still a rose."

I was impressed with the strides all of the manufacturers have made in their products. What was once a large gap between " Coleman"  and other makes has know disappeared. There are many nice models out ther to pick from.

It was fairly crowded for a weekday so I would expect that the weekend will be very crowded.

My favorite, although not a PU, was the motor home with the " sky deck" . I first saw this on the RV 2003 show on HGTV. It was quite a veiw from the rooftop of this RV. To find it, look out the doors from the old main entrance and look for the RV with the Patio Umbrellas on the roof.

One thing that I did notice with the PU s is that they all now have what appears to be a " vinyl"  coating over all of the tenting. I m not sure that I like the look.

Unfortunately PUT wasn t there (for the public show) or I could not find them. Although, since I wore my PUT shirt, a few vendors commented about the magazine (all good, but we already know that). They saud that PUT staff were there for the Trade part of the show. I was hoping to see Dave there as it was a few years ago when I first met him there as he was pedaling his new magazine and I have enjoyed talking to him at the show in the subsequent years.

 For those going, enjoy!!!

tim5055We made it to the show on Saturday......in the rain.   Saw alot of neat stuff we could not afford.   We also liked the RV with the deck and grill!!

Great show, despite the crowds and rain!  Took Mom with her electric wheel chair and she had a blast! Had to put an orange flag on her just to keep up!
