Went to check the camper this weekend and found that the anti-freeze
is frozen in the cassette toilet sight glass.I guess there was a little water
left in the toilet holding tank.I live on Long Island and I keep the camper in
PA so its hard for me the check it all the time. Next time I go up I will try to defrost
it and put more anti-freeze in. It was 1 degree on Saturday up there, but I still went ice fishing.
So if you live in cold weather make shure you check that sight glass[;)]

notrailendsThat s one problem with RV antifreeze. When using regular antifreeze the freezing point drops when mixed with water; the RV antifreeze freezing point rises. So that s why they tell you when putting in RV antifreeze to let it run till it comes out pink. That way you flush out most of the water.

Worst incident with RV antifreeze was with a friend s Park Model. He just added RV antifreeze to the toilet without draining the water. Talk about a mess come spring, Porcelain everywhere, that toilet shattered and the antifreeze reacted with the flooring and turned gooey.
