Saw a beautiful Used PU today ...

We visited Campkins today, and I saw a beautiful Bonair 1050 ! :

This thing had almost brand new canvass, and was so clean and good looking ! I am going to inquire tomorrow how much they will sell it for. Even though we can't afford anything, I want to know ! I didn't want to leave it ! It looked like brand new inside, it was so well cared for ! Maybe it is 1K :) *yeah rioght, I am sure I will hear at least 4K !)

I don't think my PU love is going to end ever  :S

That one looks really good.  I hope you can get a good deal on one.  If you see one sitting out lonesome in someone's yard or field, just stop and ask how much they want and someone might let you just remove it from their yard. I know someone who got a free popup that way.  You never know until you ask.

Checked it out, sold for 3,900 C# That is like 3,100 USD. they have another one, a 1150, same money but it is battered :(

Just keep trying. There's a popup out there somewhere for you.  Keep checking on the PUT classifieds, also.  I hope you have a little popup fund put away somewhere.  Take a jar and put a few dollars in at a time.  It will add up quicker than you think.

At this time we can't afford anything, I am just dreaming, that is free :)

That may have been the same Bonair I saw being pulled by a Nissan Maxima on US 13, headed to Virginia Beach earlier this year. Thought that was a brave combination :eek:

Birol, your a handy kind of guy, didn't you put in a new window in your van before the Rally last year?  Why not buy a fixer-upper and work on it through the winter?  If the canvas is in good shape and it seems pretty sound I'd go for it!  Look at Larrys (Brainpause) - it's older but it's sweet!  He's done a lot of work on that.  I'm sure you'll get a ton of help on here!  It's something to think about - get your creativity going!  :D

Acts2:38 girl, If I found something which could be shaped up with minimal money (mainll hand work), I would grab one. The real cheapo ones all ned new canvass, mucho money. Or they are rusted badly and stuff ....... I am looking though. I iam to have one before next summer ! Hopefully ....

Birol... there are several in the $500 range on Ebay right now.  ONe just needs a new cable.  They took a picture of the inside with the door closed and it looks clean from what you can see.  I remember on in Michigan and NY.

With the move only two weeks away, I dare not spend a dime. I am afraid of how things will progress. On top of the monthly property taxes on the rental house going up 150 bucks, its insurane went up 68% ! That is another 50 bucks a month ! It is crazy. These are expenses I never accounted for ....... So right now all I can do is dream all I can .. once we move and see how things go, maybe I can spare some cash for a fix-me-up unit .......

Sometimes life sucks or what  :W  :S  :M  :J  :rolleyes:  :rolleyes:
