hmmm, this whole idea does conjure up an interesting mental image of Birol in the hot tub whilst we camping ladies dance around the pot (er, tub) and poke him now and then with long handled forks to see if he is tender yet.

I knew it would come to this fast ! Ladies Ladies, I take medicine on a regular basis and my meat is by now poisionous (sp) ! All Iw anted to do was to relax in Cindy's HotTub ! That's all ! ANd of course I don't want her and her family around, but now I am being cooked alive ! I think I will wait till Chasd60 throws away the monthly bag of samples and come and save me  :rolleyes:      :rolleyes:  :W  :S

not that I am squeamish, but all of this is beginning to remind me of the time when our YDD described her sinus infection as producing "stuff that looks like lemon curd."     maybe we ought to move our culinary  fantasies to another, more appropriate forum before they get any more graphic? :confused:

Besides, pretty soon it will be time for people to go to bed in Canada and Birol, in the terrifying grip of the nightmares our posts have induced, will be driving Babette nuts constantly getting up to look under the bed to make sure there are no PUT cooks under it sharpening their razors and knives.

I am soooo sleepy, the days are getting to be very long ........ All this packing is tough on my old bones. And nothing can get under the bed, it is full of dust and dirt, that's where we sweep the stuff, under the bed

well, I hadnt foreseen that this thread would  move in quite so many directions all at one time--nor that some of them would be so off-the-wall (GET OUT FROM UNDER THAT BED, CINDY AND THROW DOWN THE KNIFE!)  

But the wide-ranging subject matter of this thread does prove my point that  people come here to THIS FORUM to relax and be silly and have fun with friends--or pray with friends and share their worries and grief-- and it is my recollection that this is exactly the kind of thing The Campfire was created for.  It is great to see Birol and AngelsMom back again and having fun.  And if  visiting lightheartedly with us can help them leave their troubles behind for awhile, this board will have been worth much more than $30.00

Gee, I remember when RedNekRubberDuck and Lori had so many worries we almost couldnt count them, and Ian came here several times each day.  Seemed like the more worries they had the wilder his posts got.  We all threw ourselves into encouraging him about the future and we joined in with the goofiness with enthusiasm.  Now it is Birol and Nancy's turn--next time it may be yours or mine.

In the meantime, as Max would say,  "Let The Wild Rumpus Start."

Nancy, check  your copy--I think you'll find rumpus  :p.  Maybe we ought to hand out copies to some of the members here and see if they can learn anything from it?     There has certainly been "gnashing of terrible teeth"  and several displays of "terrible roars" . ( It was much more  pleasant when Sendak did it.)

Birol, are you REALLY ready for this?  It involves  roaring and gnashing of terrible teeth and flailing around with  a lot of "terrible claws" and you have to sail away in a boat.  (Hmmm, but you do get to be KING of All the Wild Things, so maybe you would enjoy it.)
