Hi all. We had a wonderful time at Marathon Lake, which is about 10 miles south of Forest, Mississippi. This National Parks campground is in the center of Bienville National Forest.  Built in the '50s on the site of the Marathon Logging Company logging camp. There is a lake (recently stocked I might add) and a nature trail (2 miles long) that takes you through some beautiful woods. It contains around 34 sites with electricity and water. Nice restrooms with a shower. Very clean, very nice. The lake is a small one (around 5 acres). Boats are allowed, but only for fishing.  Enjoy the pictures included.
