This is a fun one and is kind of like a fudge with those colored miniture marshmallows in it.   The kids really like these and they are pretty after slicing.

1 package (6-1/2 oz.) colored marshmallows
1 cup corsley chopped walnuts (or other nut)
1 package (6 oz) chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1 egg, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Chopped walnuts or flaked coconut for outside of log

Place marshmallows and coarsley chopped walnuts in a large bowl, set aside.  Melt chips and butter over low heat (or in the microwave), stir to blend.  Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.  Pour over marshmallows and nuts, stir to coat.  Using 4 12" sheets of foil, sprinkle with chopped walnuts or coconut.  Spoon and divide the marshmallow mixture onto the 4 sheets of foil lengthwise to make a roll.  Pull sides of foil up to shape rolls.  Wrap tightly and store in freezer.

To serve:  while still frozen, pull off foil and cut into 1/2" thick slices, place on your serving dish and let sit to room temp.

Makes:  4 (10") rolls

don't forget to coat the foil with a very thin layer of butter so they won't stick.   Wax paper works very well with this too.   Thnks for posting this, it's been a favorite of our for a long time, my kids grew up with these as part of our holiday tradition.
