The big RV show for the DC Metro Area  will be at the Dulles Expo Center on January 16 - 18. They're expanding the show to two buildings this year.   They will also have the Terrawind Amphibius Motorcoach on display!

I was there yesterday, and I may go back today. I did get a chance to see the Terra Wind Amphibius Motorcoach, very interesting. The sticker on that unit was 1.2 mil.
I still need to take a look at some of the other units. The price's for some are very unusual. The cost of TT and 5ths continue to rise, and class B's and C's are priced at the point that the Class A's are cheaper to buy.
I wanted to look more closely at the Trail Manor's myself, and I am some what disappointed at the cost. However I did meet the regional sales rep for Trail Manor, and he said the nearly the entire 04 stock to be build for this production year is sold out.
I did get a better look at the new High sided P/U's, starcraft wins my vote for the most for the least, however there was not one to talk with about these units. The dealers are more interested in selling the more expensive units. Maybe I will have better luck today..

Enjoy..

I have had so much fun attending the RV shows.  Of course, I always go into those big rigs and hope that one day I win the lottery so I can take off to points unknow in one of those.  (Just kidding!)  Well, last year in Raleigh I saw one that was something in the $400,000 range.  It was perfect as to layout and I was all set until I decided the granite countertops were the wrong color and that dinky little 27" TV......well, you would think they would have included a big screen plasma TV for the price being paid.! Hehehe.  Just think how much depreciation those things get every year when they are parked in the yard.

Wow...how about that Terra Wind Amphibius Motorcoach!!!   That was spectacular!  The wood cabinetry was absolutely gorgeous, the jet TUB (yep..not just a shower!) was amazing, and the hot tub on the little deck off the back bedroom was just the icing on the cake!  hehehe....unbelievable.

This show had the largest amount of popups that I've seen at any of our shows in a very long time. There were the Fleetwoods, Starcrafts, and Jaycos, plus many of the hybrids. I was almost afraid to go to this show after  hearing everyone talk about the new ones they'd bought.  I just knew we'd see something we would fall in love with..but my biggest surprise of all was...I still love my very own PU more than any of them. I still love the floor plan, the size and the ammenities it has more than any of the others. And best of all...we were still the most impressed and pleased with our dealers.  They are just awesome.  So helpful and will just spend any amount of time talking to you and answering any questions you have.  I really was interested in looking at the Trail Manor also...but I just didn't like them like I thought I would. The pictures of them in the brochure looked nicer....warmer and more cozy.  The actual trailer just felt like...well, a trailer...  I'm just one of those who don't like the "canned" feeling of any of the trailers or the hybrids.

It took several years before DH got me to agree to get out of my tent and try a popup again and it may take many, many more now to get me into anything other than a popup or tent!  I camped in a popup as a child then my ex and I had a trailer for years so I do know how it is to camp in them.  LOL...now that Terra Wind........     that I could go for (after I win a huge lottery!)    Actually, if I was traveling around the country for a long period of time I'd love a nice 5th wheel or Class A....but for me, nothing any more enclosed than my PU for real Camping!
