For those of you, like me, that put their camper away for the winter, what is your feeling right now?

That's a hard one...while I'm having some serious camping withdrawals, I sure do enjoy being able to work from home on snow days.  I love to look at the snow and take walks in the snow...however, I think there is something not quite right though about having snow days at home when i can't go camping and not having any days at home during the time I could go camping!  LOL

I STAY ready:D !

Let's see, the Circus comes to town next week (?) which usually coinsides with our final winter storm (I think they bring the winter storm with them and unleash it right from the train along with the elephants). That means spring is about 3 weeks away, perhaps 4 weeks! It'll then be warm enough to go camping, but that also marks the beginning of our spring monsoon season!!!

First camping trip will be to the race at Bristol. The race is March 28 & I'm planning to leave on the 24th. (Hey, it takes a whole hour to get there and I don't want to get caught in traffic.  ;) )

Don't have to make reservations--the campground we use is 1st come--but I'll probably take the PU over the Sunday or Monday before the race to get a better spot.

The one thing I'm wondering about is if I should try to de-winterize the PU before we go. I've been to the March race when the temps at night dropped into the teens. (Remember that year distinctly because I was camping in a tent! BRRRR....) We don't use the water system much at Bristol--mostly just for washing dishes and hands. There are no hook-ups so I have to fill up the holding tank and then turn on the generator for the pump to work. The campground has a nice bathhouse, so I think I may play it safe and leave the antifreeze in. We have plenty of 4-gal and 5-gal jugs we can keep water in to use.

Not quite sure which poll option to choose since I do have plans but no reservations...and it's pouring the snow as I write.

Due to a number of factors, we haven't been able to go lately.  Had nothing to do with weather though.  I know how frustrated I've felt not being able to go.

Good news for us is we're going next weekend.  Staying at Manatee Springs (FL) for a couple of nights.

Hopefully the weather will improve soon for those of you in the cold climates.   :(

Ditto. In fact, we've been to two shows and three states just browsing.

I could have camped the past several days if I had wanted to with the temps being in the upper 60's and very mild days.  However, I have the popup for sale and set up for display in the yard.  Today, a nice couple wanting to "get off the ground" put a deposit on the popup and they will be coming back to pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Our Clothes Are There, Just Need The Food And We Are Off, We Have A Three Day Weekend Coming And If It Stays In The 40's We Are Gone!

I don't mind waiting a little more!  I can't wait for spring, but so much is going on, somebody is always feeling under the weather, so I'll be content to know it's coming!

Next weekend is the beginning of the annual RV show here in Maryland we have been counting the weekends!  It helps us make it thru the winter.  We are camphosts at a Maryland State Park and this year (in all of their wisdom) the powers that be are delaying the opening of the camping season here in Maryland.  SO we have to wait longer than usual to set up and start our season!  We are dying here.......!
