$19.95 sounds good to me. Dave, I'm staying.

When I was selling my Coleman Niagara, I paid a total of $100 to advertise it on RVtraderonline, and in our local newspaper, but go no replies from either.
I also advertised it on PUP Classifieds, and got a few phone calls and e-mails including the eventual person who bought it.

So for me, I have already got my money's worth.

Keep up the good work Dave.

I agree the price is excellent, but why do I want to join the Avree club when this Arvee Club is so much fun?

Just Kidding...thanks for the savings, excellent reason to stick around!

MommaMia

Great News, Dave!
I'm staying, although that's not news, as I was staying at $29.95! Does this mean I can stay half again as much?
The board is great, the magazine is great, the folks here are great, where would I want to go?
Thanks!

NightOwl

Well, Cindy, since ColoradoMtn Gary wouldnt risk it, I am out on the streest looking for some trusting soul to take me up on a wager on the price of the board--maybe get a steak dinner out of it or a new 24volt DeWalt cordless drill  :W  (I can dream, cant I?)

there's something extra  satisfying  about all of us sticking together throough thick and thin and sticking with Dave and the board and coming out WINNERS--all of us! :S

Who says "nice guys always finish last?"   WE ALL FINSIHED FIRST!!!!!!! :J  :W

Hey Dave,
I would have stayed for the $29.95. I won't knock a price decrease, especially today when everybody else is increasing their prices (I just received a $110 electric bill and a $200 natural gas bill!) I'm just wondering why.
I thought you needed the $29.95 last year to make ends meet, then you included your magazine and mailed it 1st class. Now you're only charging $19.95 for the same service.

For those who want to know, we will email you when your membership is up for renewal.  There will be a special store item for renewals.

Thanks for all your support!

I guess Dave acted with the then current load the forum site had, and had to compensate for some fluctuation, in either side. As the bandwidth level stabilized at a different level, he was able to see what the actual costs were, will be and did not hesitate to pass on the savings to us.

I believe that when he decided to include the magazine together with the forum access, he already knew that the cost to run the site was going to be less than what he predicted. And once the figures stayed more or less steady, costs became more clear, and here we are at an unbeatable price for the magazine and the forum access.

My Hydro (electricty) bill is 400 bucks ! I am gonna sue them !

First off, if I knew what I was doing I wouldn't be publishing anymore. I was supposed to be filthy rich by now. Instead I just make a little bit of money, but  have a magazine and a loyal subscriber base that I just love. PUT is my baby and I'm willing to do anything to keep the wheels turning.

To answer your questions - we needed more income to keep the site on the $1000+ per month server necessary to accommodate the 7500 daily visitors that we had in 2002. We ditched that server when our audience shrank and our internet expenses are under control. If we can retain the majority of our members we'll be fine. The $19.95 rate may also attract some new members which would OK too.

That's why
Dave

Hi Dave,

Great deal! The forum and the magazine provide a wealth of information. Plus the interaction with the community that's been built is worth twice the price!
