We have a camping trip planed for Lake Glory Campground in Knoebles. Anyone been here? got any tips? The trip is planned for Aug. We do have water and elec. hookups. Thanks!

Been there, LOVE it. What road is your campsite on? I might be able to tell you a bit more about the campground. Since you have water and electric, but not sewer, I'm going to guess you are either on Covered Bridge Drive or around the office in the older section of the campground. The sites on covered bridge drive are open and grassy. You can easily put an extra tent on your site and they won't charge you extra. The bathrooms are nothing fancy, but they are functional. Their sinks/mirrors are outside, which is a bit odd, but we tend to use the bathroom in our camper. Plus, they might have inside sinks too. I've just never actually been in one of their bathrooms, just their showers.

Knoebel's is a FABULOUS amusement park -- and relatively inexpensive, compared to other amusement parks. The food is pretty good and not too expensive either. Of the food, I like Cesari's pizza, the prime rib sandwiches at the "steakhouse" and their cole slaw. They also have good funnel cake, carmel apple wedges and other carnival fare. The rides are great old fashioned rides that last forever -- especially when you are getting dizzy and just want off!

We're headed there (lake Glory) over Memorial day weekend and will camp IN Knoebel's the second weekend in October for the covered bridge craft festival and Phoneix Phall Phun Phest Weekend. We can't wait!

We are on Knoebles Drive, sites 92-94-96. I don't see Covered Bridge Drive on the map I have of the campground? are you sure it is "Lake Glory". Sounds like you all like it enough to go back. so that is probably good enough for me to think I will like it too!  Thanks!

Covered Bridge Drive is the section between the lake and the "roaring creek" at the top of the Lake Glory campground map.  I don't know much about the sites you are on other than you are not too far from the bathhouse (it's the little "R" in a box next to site 103).  People camp at Lake Glory to go to the Knoebel's Amusement Park.  You don't end up spending all that much time in the campground.  Oh, and don't forget, you can use the pool in the main Knoebel's campground if you want to go swimming and not pay for the Crystal pool and water slides in the park.  I think you just need a pass or something from the Lake Glory office.

Rick we will be in Maine in August, but if you are there when we are home we will come and visit you.  We live about 35 miles from the park.  I have been in the main campground but not Lake Glory so I can't help you out there.
