Trail Manor Dealers

I have only found three dealers in as many states who carry the Trail Manor - one in Northern Kentecky, one in Northern Ohio (the Cleveland area) and one in Central Tennessee.
Are the dealers who carry those that rare?  If so, I wonder why?  Any thoughts?

I only know of one dealer in PA, they are in the north east corner.

Not sure they need that many dealers.  To me they are very expensive for what they are but I know they do fill a niche.  We looked seriously at them last Fall and decided if we ever went to a TT, it would be the real thing and not a Trail Manor.

It was the model with a slide on the front we looked at.  List was $24,000 on a 2003 carryover and sale price was $21,000.  Dealer offered to trade for our like new 2001 Coleman Bayside with lots of extras for $16,000 difference.  Needless to say, that did not happen.

On the flip, we looked at a very nice 2004 26' Prowler TT with lots of goodies.  Listed for $19,500, on sale for $14,400 and dealer offered to trade for same Coleman for $8,750.  Very tempting but elected to stay with our PU.

Only Trail Manor dealer in Central IL is in Mattoon.

The nearest one to us is 200 miles away.  And we live within 70 miles of DC, Baltimore, and Harrisburg.

A couple of us went on a field trip when we were camping near that dealer.  Very expensive, and I didn't think the quality would hold up for long.  Beds are VERY high off the floor, a lot higher than our Utah and I think they're high.

If our Utah is any indication, I spent way too much time getting work done to want a 4 hour drive each way to do it.  I know that most of what I got done, I got done because of warranty, but still - a lot broke, fell apart, or otherwise before a year was up.

YMMV.

Why is it when someone is asking for dealership info, people start bashing the  brand of trailer?   Yes, TrailManors are a niche product but just about everyone I have spoken too who has used one has praised it.  We love ours and bought it after searching for a new trailer for several years.  Our search included PUs, TTs and Hybrids.

I find the comments on quality interesting.  Our experience owning one has been the opposite of your impressions.  I have heard of very few problems with TrailManors like the owners of Coleman/Fleetwood PUs are complaining of, like broken hard ware on drawers and cabinets. TrailManor does not use fiber or chip board, just real wood and laminates.  Even the hanging cabinet is all wood.  I don't have to worry about the counter swelling and falling apart.

Yes, the beds are high, but only a little higher than we had in our PU and they include a step stool.  I have been camping all my life and have found the TrailManor to be one of the best made trailers I have seen recently.  We expect to be using ours for many years.

There are a couple of places in NC that have them but maybe only one or two in stock.  Hawleys and Tom Johnson's had new and used.  They carrry a big price tag when new.
