How sweet!  :)  Trina, you can tell David that Griffin is even more fun now that he can communicate.  I still can't get over how wonderful David was with Griffin and Matthew at Malibu.  I hope that Griffin grows up to be such nice boy!

You know how your kids can be so obnoxious at home, but then everyone tells you how polite and wonderful they are?  It's weird.  At least all my talking and training hasn't really gone in one ear and out the other.  I'd rather I see his obnoxious side than the rest of the world, because no matter what, I'll still love him.

Hiya gang,

Mikey and Family here,

Are there any spots open as of today June 1.  I am trying to make something work out so we can attend.  If not, maybe we can pop in for a day ?

I will know 100% tomorrow night if we can get away.

Mike--Go to the Western Rally Forum for information.  As of tonight, there were four spots available.  Hope you can make it.

Moose,

What recipes are you planning on making for Pismo?  All my recipes come from you, and I don't want to duplicate anything you are making (although I do have a new non-moose recipe I'm going to make for the breakfast potluck) :D

We're doing a chicken mole & mexrice for Saturday. Not sure about brunch yet. We've been talking about doing something along the Mountain Man breakfasts though.

If any of you subscribe to Cook's Illustrated, they have a biscuit recipe to die for. It makes the lightest biscuits ever.

We will be making my DO lasagna for Saturday night.  Probably donuts for breakfast one morning.

Mikey,
If you are serious, you need to move fast on this.
I have only one spot left, and it goes to whoever asks me first.
I need to let Pismo Coast Village know by this Thursday if I am using it or not, otherwise it will cost me $41.
So either e-mail me at KevinJquigley@comcast.net by end of day wednesday if you want that one remaining spot.
I cannot gurantee it will still be available, as I have told a few other people that wednesday is the cut off date

Hi Everyone-

I am sorry we won't be able to join you in Pismo in June. But we will be there in August for our own little vacation. I am traveling quite a bit during this summer and we don't have as many camping outings planned as usual. We are going to Yucaipa for two nights July 8 and 9.

We'd be happy to do the t-shirts for Pismo if we were able to make it. Dave did the artwork for the May 2003 rally and he coerced, er, coordinated with one of his fellow graphic artists to do the artwork for the Halloween 2003 rally. Randy Flinders was kind enough to handle the "business" end of that endeavor. Sure sounds like you will have fun.

We booked 4 nights at the same Pismo campground (resort?) in August, preceded by two nights at Yucaipa. I guess we were lucky to get the spot in Pismo considering we booked it so late. So I am looking forward to a beach/camping vacation. It sure looks like a nice place. Please tell me anything I should know about it beforehand. We also plan a day trip to Hearst castle from there. I've always wanted to check that out.

The only other camping we've done was a 2 night trip to Anza Borrego State Park in April. Seems so long ago. We had a fabulous time. That was the first campout with our new German Shorthair Pointer pup. Our older dog Daisy is still with us and is gradually getting over her resentment of us and the new pup. Although she still refuses to play with the little one. I guess it's a dignity thing... Anyway we really enjoyed that park and we took an amazing hike to real live waterfalls in the desert. The drive home was sobering as we came through Julian and the bulk of the heavily fire damaged Cuyamaca State Park. Oh boy it looked like the haunted forest for about 15 miles...

Well you guys have a lot of fun. I'll be checking the posts when you get back!

Sorry you'll not be there. I still look for you at the Oakland Airport when I'm up there.
