Hi Jennifer  and welcome to PUT and SCCampers (Southern California PopUp Campers)!!!!!

We are a non-exclusive camping club--you don't even need to have your pop up yet to join us!  There is no formal "membership" process, although we do have a secret initiation ritual which I'm not allowed to speak about here on the boards... ;) :D

If you'd like to camp with us, just watch the PUT boards or visit the SCC Web site ( http://www.sccampers.org/ ) and join us on a rally.  We are in cahoots with Nick-Neph-Coff, our brother organization for PU campers in Northern California and have combined rallies with them from time to time as well.  There is a big one in the works, Poppin' at Pismo, which you can read about here: http://arveeclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53 and here: http://www.nick-neff-cough.org/nnc/id83.html

Last I heard, there were 3 spots left for the Pismo rally so if you think you may want to join us, don't hesitate to let 6Quigs know.  Hope to meet you soon and, again, welcome!!!

Who says you can't meet nice people on the Internet? ;)

OC Campers

Hi Jennifer and family.  Just wanted to second what Lori said.  We are a great group of people who have at least one thing in common, a love of camping.  Just keep checking the PUT rally section or the SC Campers club section.  We pretty much all keep in contact in these 2 sections.  Looking forward to meeting you and your family.

Jennifer,

I'm not so sure how far Escondito is from Yucaipa but if you want to get to know the group, you could join us for our Saturday night potluck at Yucaipa Regional Park this Saturday. Quite a few of us will be camping there this weekend. We usually start around 6ish (loose interpretation). If you're interested then just bring an appetite. :)

There seems to be a few new people camping with the group for the first time this weekend so you'll fit right in.

Hope you can make it.

Don't tell her about the margarita's or Dutch oven. That has to remain a secret.

Thankyou for welcoming us. I wish we could make it this weekend to the potluck but we already have plans. We would love to join you all at the next camp trip. Hopefully we will have a trailer by then (we are currently shopping for a used one). :)   What was that I heard about margaritas and a dutch oevn  ;) ? Sounds interesting.

How do I know when the future trips are being planned?

Thanks again for the nice welcome and we look forward to meeting you all.

Keep watching right here and you will see all the announcements.  As you can see folks are already working on plans for October!  You will also see announcements about 'mini-rally's' here.  Those are really just one person inviting us to join them someplace.  If you even think you might be able to make a rally sign up.  You can always cancel later, you might lose a dollar or two doing it but it sure is better than missing out on a rally.  I should know.  I am in the Marine Corps and can't plan more than 2-3 weeks in advance so I have missed out on far more than I attended.  This weekend for one!

Welcome aboard, you'll have a great time here!

Did I think that or did I say that?

DOH!

We finally bought one. After searching everywhere, we finally found one we wanted. So we are looking forward to using it this summer. We get to pick it up the first or second week of June. Are there any more Rallies planned for the summer?

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW CAMPER!!!!! :-() :#

There are spots still available for the joint NNC-SCCampers Pismo Beach rally at the end of June.  Check out the rally forum: http://www.arveeclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53 and then if you decide you'd like to join us for what will be a real humdinger of a rally, send 6Quigs an e-mail.  We've also got a SCCampers rally planned in Temecula for Halloween.  I'm wagonmaster so if you want to go, send me an e-mail and I'll give you my address where you can send your sites fees and reserve your site.  Here's the thread: http://www.arveeclub.com/showthread.php?t=51228

If you're talking about "joining" Sccampers, just join us for a rally, mini or otherwise, and you're in.  Easy, yes? :D  We'll be at Malibu RV Park this weekend, and even if there are no more sites available (there may be, but they may be expensive) you could still come over and join us for a potluck Saturday night.  gsm x2 and g-whiz will be doing this, even tho they're not camping with us.

Again, glad you found a PU; hope to be able to meet you soon!

Jennifer,

Yes, congratulations on now being able to sleep OFF THE GROUND.  It makes life so much easier.  Lori gave you the details on current trips, so I'll just encourage you to come and join us at any events.  As Lori said, if you are in the neighborhood of Malibu, swing by the Malibu RV park....on a cliff a few miles north of Pepperdine.  We'll be there Saturday, but people will be around on Sunday too.

Have fun and tow away and tow often.

Explosions are also compressions of time.  Observable changes in the natural
universe all are explosive to some degree and from some point of view;
otherwise you would not notice them.  Smooth Continuity of change, if slowed
sufficiently, goes without notice by observers whose time/attention span is
too short.  Thus, I tell you, I have seen changes you would never have
marked.

Nothing's happening. It's over. A lot of people in the audience look pissed.
