I just wanted to know if people usually have more than one fridge to put the extra stuff which doesn't  fit into a normal fridge. Stuff like extra bottles of ketchup, sauce, beer and so on.

We buy stuff when they are cheap and usually have more then usual amount of stuff at home which need to be refrigerated and a week ago I purchased a dented (read dirt cheap) 21 cubic feet fridge and we just moved it to the basement. Got it at less than half price retail and it is such a luxury model.

I was just curious if people do the same or just have a freezer in the garage or basement. Fridge is very suitable for us as it has a freezer AND a normal fridge  section.

let me know will you ?  :W

We have 2- our new Frigidaire side by side in the kitchen and the Kenmore that came with the house in the basement. We keep the kid's juice boxes, fruit cups for lunches and extra gallon of milk along with other items in the Kenmore.

We've always had two refrigerators. I love it during camping season. I load all the camping food into the upstairs one before a trip and then get it out to the camper. Having the one in the basement is great around the holidays too.

3, and a deep freeze.  We have the one big double door model with water/ice in the door.  The other two are a small dorm size, and one slightly bigger.  These two are used to keep sodas, juice, water, and beer cold.  I keep the small units just above freezing so the drinks are frosty!

One fridge in the house, one elec. cooler for non-camping traveling and a 3-way fridge in the PU.  We also have a freezer in the house.

Onme reg fridge in the house,  upright freezer in the garage, one small one in the pop up. And a lareger dorm size that we take camping on long trips, or in the summer for cold drinks....

16 cube in apt, electric cooler, used in house when we have extra holiday food, keep the bird in it for thanksgiving,so it doesn't take up the whole fridge. we also use it when camping to keep the extra beer wine and soda in! plus we own  two campers both with fridges, so all together 4! plus we use a friends deep freezer!

I don't feel so bad about purchasing it anymore ! Thanks for all the answers ! We cleaned it yesterday and it is ready to go this afternoon. It was quite a hassle to bring it down to the basement for me DW and DS but, we managed it. I brought it into the house all by myself from the garage ! And we have 5 steps to the house ! I had to take the doors and all the storage stuff in it out of course, but, hey we didn't pay delivery charges of 90 bucks ! Little bit of sweat is good !

We have two fridges also.   One in the kitchen of course, and the one that originally was in the kitchen is in the basement. I can't imagine not having two now that I've been doing this for years. With only two or three of us here it works perfectly for both freezer use and for storage for sodas, juice, beer, etc..  I originally wanted a deep freeze, but this seems to be just perfect for us.

We got used to it when we were in the town house ! As part of the purchase price we got a 18 cubic foot fridge (bottom of the line) and of course it wasn't enough. Shortly after moving I purchased a floor model Maytag two door fridge with ice and water feature (25.5 cubic feet, side by side, love it !). The builders fridge went to the basement and we got used to using it ! We were sort of managing before that in the mansion with one fridge (that one was side by side door 27.7 cubic feet). Now we are all set though :) Once getting used to having two fridges, one is too difficult to accept I guess ....... We are never letting the second oen go anywhere anymore ! All the extra stuff goes in there including the mini-kegs of beer I can't drink :(

Ah yes, basements.... I really miss having one of them!

We have two refridges, one in the Kitchen and a dorm size in the garage. Also have a small chest type freezer in the garage. The little fridge is only used for rare overflow occassions (like around Thanksgiving etc), but it was originially purchased and used for use in the Pop-up! When I bought the Hybrid we no longer needed it for camping. Since it had a small freezer in it, we had the ability to keep small amounts of Ice Cream for the kids on extended stays.

We've got a side-by-side in the kitchen, a regular size fridge in the garage, an upright deep freeze in the garage, and 2 powerchills.

Anyone need to bring anything over?

FOUR!!

One side-by-side in the kitchen, One in the gargage freezer on top. One office size in the garage ( for soda and beer) and one dorm size we use in the camper.

We cook a lot at home and shop at wholesale clubs so we need the space.

We have 2 fridges one in the kitchen and another in the rec room. Rec room fridge only gets turned on when we need over flow. Ketchup etc gets stored in the cold storage room if unopened, it does not require refridgeration. I use the extra space around holiday times and when packing for a long trip. We also have a chest freezer which is always almost full. There is of course the small dorm fridge in the PU too. Its soooo nice not to have to fetch the eggs out of water or find the cheese floating. The freezer in the small fridge is of course not much use as its really too small. We usually put just chicken in there to ensure it stays cold enough so no one gets sick.

we have an extra fridge in the garage (got rid of the upright deepfreeze last year)  When we have a big party or the kids are all here the extra fridge space comes in handy, and the up-top freezer gives us  extra storage if meat is on sale at a good price.

Or if I-absentmindedly bring home a third gallon of milk:eek:  like I did today (the third gallon is in the garage freezer as I write this )  :D
