All,

Over the weekend I was cleaning and getting ready the Camper (Eagle) to hit the road. Was going to put a tire lock on the rear spare tire and of course left the camper tool inside which was all locked up now. NOTE: How many times do you go to do something outside on the camper and find that you have to open it? Anyhow, I thought I would try a short cut by getting the tire tool from my TV. Guess what, it did not fit. I was surprised as all get out... I thought in the pass that I would use the car tire tool if I had a flat instead of using the one in the camper. WRONG!

I am guessing that you mean the lug nut wrench.  My PU wheels and my TV wheels have different size lug nuts.  I have a socket for each and a 4 way lug nut wrench.  I also have to use a DEEP socket to reach the lug nuts holding the spare tire on the back of the PU. :)

Also don't be surprised if you find the one in the PU doesn't fit the bolts holding the spare on as well. It's fairly common to use a differnet size bolt than the lugnuts. I found out the hard way.
It pays to change a tire in the driveway just to make sure that jack and wrench work.

I can use the same socket, but it has to be a deep socket to reach the lug nuts on the spare tire. :)

I always carry a 4 way lug wrench.  It fits both the TV and the pop up lug nuts.  Plus, it's a lot easier to use!

I carry a 4 way lug nut wrench in the TV, but always use the smaller wrench on the PU wheels. :o   Sort of dumb I guess, but I never thought about using it on the PU.  I will have to start using the 4 way on the PU too.
