HELP! PLEASE! When DO our memberships actually end? Is it really April 1???

well, the  Mahaffeys said memberships end on April 1.  And then I just got an e-mail from our friend Camperoo and she has been blocked from the board  in the last few minutes so she figured it was because her membership "ends April 1" and she hadnt gotten around to renewing yet although she intends to.

Somehow, I thought the deadline was somewhat past April 1.  If someone will tell me, then I can e-mail poor Rose and let her know why she is an outcast.  

She also asked me if I thought her thread  on Road Rage had somehow gotten her kicked off the board.  I really cant believe that, and think she is just the victim of a computer glitch since I think, if she  disobeyed one of "Dave's Rules" that she would  surely  have heard from Dave or Steve or a moderator to let her know what went wrong and where she had gone astray and they would never just do something like this with no explanation.

SO WHEN DO OUR MEMBERSHIPS  ACTUALLY END?

I do not know when it ends but I have allready renewed mine. I ordered two pie irons and a recipe book at the same time. I got them last week.

Well, in the advent it does end today, I better say Adios to all of you. I'm in financial do-do right now due to the career change, and unable to renew at this time. It's been fun!!! I'll be back on my feet soon enough, but for the moment every penny counts!

Dave said we should get an email, when it's about to expire. But also i thought we were to get one a couple months ago, telling us when?

I called last week to renew my membership and use the credit I had gotten because of my magazine subscription and I was told that my membership did not expire until some time in mid May. I started my membership as a paid one as soon as Dave had made the announcement so I would think that most of you have at least until May before any memberships expire. Remember that Dave extended the memberships of the origional paid members because of some of the down times they had with the board when switching over.

thanks, everyone--I THOUGHT I remembered  Patty telling me when I tphoned the office  last month that memberships were up in mid-May but I wanted to check and make sure before I wrote to Rose about it.

The question is a good one. I went to the member area to see if there was any information and all I see is Membership expiration date and a blank beside the few I looked at.  It seems that when we subscribed to the magazine we were given some kind of extension on the board.  Wasn't there some kind of extension added to that due to a switchover or the board being down for a while?

Yes, I remember this thread saying it would be extended for a month and our memberships would expire at the end of April.

I promise, you will get plenty of notice before anyone is locked out

There are many different expiration dates.  Depending on when you joined and how long your magazine subscription was good for when the two were combined may make a difference.

thanks for the response , Mod 1.  When I first heard from Camperoo about this, I wrote her that I was CERTAIN she would not just be blocked from the board  without a word of warning or explanation, especially if her subscription was running out.  I am sure she has been blocked from accessing the board by some silly internet or computer glitch and that she will soon be back with us.
