A gift for my PU

We've talked about gifts we've given our PUs before and I never had much to say.  Now I am pleased to tell you all that I bought my PU the ultimate gift ~ a shiny new (to me) tow vehicle!!

Thanks to all the help of the van drivers in our midst I was able to get just the TV I wanted at a price I could afford!  WAHOO!!!

Bright and early Monday morning I take delivery of my new van.  It's a 2001 Chevrolet Astro AWD.  The best part is it's much nicer than anything I ever thought I'd be able to buy!!  It's loaded to the gills with 'stuff' I'd never even considered!  LOL  

Second best part is it's already all set up for towing, but near as I can tell has never actually towed anything!  Go figure.

So, if I'm not around for a while early next week ~ it's cuz I'm out driving my new van!

Congrats on your new van!!!   I know you'll like it, I've had 4 vans now, don't want to ever go back to a regular little bitty short stuff car.    After you have it for a little while, you'll no doubt feel the same.

How long??  ummmmmm ~ NEVER!

I'm kind of strict about food in the car     Nothing but water to drink behind the driver's seat and only rarely can they eat food!   Even on road trips we stop before we snack!!  I know they are so deprived, but they're used to it!  (... and I really hate vacuuming out vehicles! :J)

Congrats.  I stopped by the dealer yesterday.  Test drove an 03 Toyota Tundra.  Drove it home to show the DW and to let her test drive it.  She drove it back to the dealer.  The salesman and I finally agreed upon a price.  Looked for the DW, couldn't find her anywhere.  Where is she?  she's test driving an 04 XTERRA.  Long story short, We both drove out of there with new vehicles:eyecrazy:   I guess we made that salesman day.

TOS (GSMx2)  I like the way you didn't name any names in this statement. I don't think you will ever let me live this down.  My poor little green Astro has gone through so much.  It has a lot  of bumps and bruises but it is still towing strong.

I know someone whose truck was totaled in an accident (he was fine) ... he felt so bad about getting a new truck while his wife was driving the old van that he bought her a new van too!

One is enough for me!

Kelly-congratulations.  My first van was a 1989 Ford Aerostar, then the Venture.  Drove them until 2003 when we got the Trailblazer.  I still miss the room.  And AWD because I here that it snows occationally there in Minnesota.  Oh yeah...October 1st 2003 if memory serves me right.
