I have a hitch but I installed myself and the bolts/nuts at the end (Towards toe front) are not installed as there are no holes in the frame ! Gotta fix that quick !

Good thing I have 4 wire electrical connection already !!! That is the stop ligths and turn signals and the night lights right ?

Quote from: angelsmom10Do you have a hitch?  Or do you have to get that first?

Ask about the tire conditon and bearings.   If the tires are old, I suggest asking the seller to get some new ones put them on for you and repack the bearings.  You can pay him for the added expense when you get there.  Remember to also check/replace the spare.

Being a dealer, maybe he has temp dealer plates he can hook you up with.

The wiring in the old ones are 4 pin... usually.  If you need adapter, they are only around $6-10.

The box does look like 10'.  We have a 12' box.  Ours had a king bunk end and a queen.  Yours looks like it has either 2 queens or 2 fulls.  Otherwise the floorplan looks to be the same as our 84 Constelllation 24 with the exception that our fridge is to the left of where your icebox is and we have a storage cabinet there.

You got yourself a classic Birol!  Congratulations!!!!! :D

Did you all see that there are almost 2500 hits on that thing on eBay!  I'll bet the owner has no idea what's going on!

WooHoo...way to go Birol

From the pictures, it appears to be the Starmaster-8 floor plan (Same as my "Old Barge") and same thing my dad used to have, same year too! Matter of fact, I'd freak out if it turns out the his old trailer, as my parents lived their entire lives in Mass, which is where this trailer is. However, my fathers had hard tops on the bunk ends.

That one appears to have a rebuilt galley, as the original should have swung up and stand taller than the side rails. That's not a big deal though, it otherwise looks the same as the original galley.

Let me know if you need a copy of the owners manual, I believe I've still got the one for the "Old Barge" buried around here somewhere, or the new owner of that trailer has it. If so I can borrow it and copy it for ya!

Hey, you-all, just take a good look at THIS THREAD  (and the other one related to it) and all the  enthusiastic and  delighted remarks made by everyone about Birol's new popup.  We are all just as thrilled as HE is!--OH FINALLY, FINALLY HE GOT ONE!   :-()  :-()  :-()

:W OK--I bet I'm not the only one thinking: this is one of the things that makes the PUT board so special and  so unique.  Once more in unison:

:S YOU MADE SOMETHING REALLY GREAT WHEN YOU CREATED THIS PLACE, DAVE!!:S

Birol, another nice campground (read this as dirt cheap - $12 per night) right there in Sturbridge Mass is Wells State Park, excellent campground. I'd recommend any site #26 through #32 (I'm rather partical to site #29 as it's huge and a pull through)...

Cliff, would you know if it is a 8' or a 10' model ? Thanks for offering the manual for it, I will ask Starcraft for it, they are usually good with it, that will save you some effort, if they fail I will have to bribe you though :) I am still smiling :) Hoping that I hear from the seller tomorrow ..... nothing today .. weird .

Congratulations Birol!

It's been a long time coming, but your patience paid off!

I might suggest you bring some spare $$$ just in case the tires are in bad shape. Wheel bearings are only about $10 for a pair of them, and not too hard to replace either. I'd check both out before hauling it back to Canada. A long haul on rotted tires or dry bearings will likely leave you on the side of the road cursing in Turkish at somebody.

I think Andrea had a good idea, spend the night at their house or somewhere close (Wells SP) and get Lee to help you check out the bearings etc...

If nothing else, make sure those bearings are packed with grease before towing all the way back!!!

Very Nice Buy, Birol...

Those old Starcrafts were very simple and easy to maintain.  Looks like you found a jewel.

Happy camping!!  :)

It's 11:08 and I just got in from a friends's house.... I haven't even gotten half way through the posts since I was here last, this afternoon, and I'm already crying.  Real and true tears... crying.   I'm so GLAD for B.... Not just happy, but glad.  I'm happy he found something, but I'm GLAD that he's really excited.  I'm not just happy that he's gotten congrats posts, but I'm GLAD that he's got a reason to be getting those post and to be glad for himself.

Sometimes people ask, "What makes you happy?"  And the response is invariably something like "My children" or "My family" or "My accomplishments at work".  I think that sometimes that's all together too much and not enough at the same time.  I think it means you want everyone to think "Ok.... he/she is a good mother/provider/employee/etc."  But sometimes I think it's just wonderful for people to be happy... no GLAD about something.  "I'm glad I don't have to watch so-and-so's kid today.... I'm glad I get to watch the game straight through today... I'm glad it's not Sunday and I don't have to get all dressed up for church".  Those are some of the  the Glad tidings that don't seem like a whole lot, but when you let the build-up of everyday stress go, they amount to a whole lot of beans and you get really excited by them.  Small things can bring big excitement and fun!

So,  on that note.... "I'm glad that the tadpole in our pond grew to be a frog smaller than the goldfish in the pond.... I'm glad the teacher didn't send home a note about how I was late by 1 day with grading the Sunshine math, I'm REALLY glad that none of our kids caught the nasty, boogery-nose cold that my SIL's kids had when they visited last week.... and most of all, I"M GLAD THAT BIROL HAS A PU TO CALL HIS OWN, so now he can feel the excitement that we all feel, every time the sunbreaks through the clouds, every time a weekend nears, every time that nature calls "come camping"!
