On Demand Pump Question

Hi,  We have never used our water tank/pump system on our 2003 Bayside.  We have only been out 3 times and stuck with the simple water hook up at the campsites.  However, we are camping this summer at a campground that doesn't have water so I figured I'd set up and see how the thing worked.  Anyway I have set it up, filled the tank and the hot water heater and it doesn't appear that the pump is shutting off even though there doesn't appear to be any demand.   I haven't found any water leaks yet but that may be the case.  Does anyone know any other things that can go wrong with this.  Thanks

It takes a while to get all of the air out of the lines and water heater.  If you open a faucet does the water come out steady or do you hear air and water gurgling and hissing? :)

Open a faucet until the air stops spurting out, then close the faucet. With any significant amount of air in the lines the pump keeps compressing the air and doesn't stop. If you've got an outside shower open it as well. Less splashing around inside the trailer from the air. That usually cures a run on pump.

Ditto all of the above, and make sure the hot water heater is full too. If not, it's probably busy filling the HWH. If the valves are all shut,t then you'll have the entire HWH space to compress air in....
