I called around 11 am today and what a premonition I have ! It had arrived three minutes ago ! The guy said he had just put down the envelope !!!!!!

I will most probably go and pick it up next Monday ! I will leave Sunday afternoon, be there early Monday morning and hitchup and visit lee and Andrea and be back home hopefully on Tuesday .

Now the days will go through so slowly !!! can't wait till I get it !!!!

Time to get the windstars new tires put on and also change the transmission oil !

Wow, I've been waiting for this post telling us that things were going as planned!!   This next week will be a slow and grueling time to get thru.   All of us are as excited as you are, B, about this thing making it's way home.   You haven't really said, and I don't want to act nosey, but what has Babette had to say about all this uproar?   Is she getting kinda excited too, or not so much?   Even if she isn't into camping like you and the kids are, it seems like she would be pretty curious as to whether this might make the whole experience more comy and fun for her.  I hope that she is going to at least give it a try, who knows, she may turn out to love it.

This is the first time since I moved to FL that I find myself wishing I still lived in CT so I could rush over to see the happy moment!

Don't forget to get the letter from the dealer giving you permission to use his dealer plates!

Are you making the trip alone?  Kids aren't done with school yet, are they?

Wifey is not thrilled with the idea of an ancient PU, but I believe she is starting to come around. She is going to come to a few camping trips if I read her correctly. Knowing her, she will be hooked in no time at all once she sees what camping is all about ! I know that if I had purchased a used hbrid, she would be all over me asking when we were going to get it. At lesat her negativity towards one has disappeared. Kids had a lot to do with it as well. Especially DD telling her with her sharp tongue "If Mommy doesn't want to come, we will go and enjoy it ourselves right daddy ? we won't let her not let us enjoy it". She has a way with words, beyond her years and I am working on it

So, I guess we will have one or two local trips with it after I get it. I am sure she will come around fast.

After all for years she said she had allergies against dogs, and now she is all over Milo and loving him

Yeah, I told him once already and will e-mail him once again before leaving. I will be there early Monday morning, so he will have plenty of time ot get it done before hand. I am not leaving without that paper, temporary plates and bill of sale, both papers notarized !

The kid are still in school ... I  could take DD with me but I do not know exactly what kind of aplace I am going, and with the paperwork we might end up in a few  different places, so I am not taking her. Wifey can't come, she would loose valuable income, Son can't take time off from high school, he needs to bring his marks above 90 average .....

So, it is just me having a nice long trip all by myself and enjoying every minute of it, yipppeeeeeeee

Glad to hear that wifey is coming around a bit, this is something that can be so good for your entire family, would hate to see her miss out on it.
I can just see B, motoring down the road singing the song of joy to get his PU.

jpr. as I recall, it is complicated to take a dog back and forth across the border so my guess is that Milo will be staying home to continue charming Babette.

Birol, my DH loved to trout fish but camping was something he was NEVER interested in.  So when we first  began to go, I made sure he didnt even know there was any hard work or drudgery involved.  I mean that literally.  I did everything at first and all he had to do was fish.  By the time he realized that there was more to camping than unzipping our tent, it was too late--he was hooked on camping, too.  And when we got the popup, then his fate was sealed!

So make it all as pleasant and painless as possible for Babette at first so she will realize how much fun it is and what a joy it is to share nature with her family.   In fact, it is a rare privilege.  

There is just a closeness you get in camping with your children that you cant get any other way.   And I am so delighted that yours are still young enough to be excited by doing something together with their parents   DO IT WHILE YOU CAN!!  :# :# :#

Driving by yourself can be tirersome so don't push it, I know you'll want to get the pop up and head back home but please be carefull,if you have to stop and get some rest do so,its better to be a little late than the late B.
