I just made reservations, and things are filling up fast. It's a great state park, excellent beach access, and very clean facilities.

Any COTOC campers want to join in?

John where is this park?  Do you have a web site for the park?

Yo jaz-ola!!!  (Hear my New Yawkah accent?)

You are torturing us...  :eyecrazy:   LOL!  When you make a post saying you're going camping somewhere, and you want us to come - how 'bout a link to the CG, or at the very least, what state it's in.

To make matters worse, you tell us "it's filling up fast".  My brain is exploding - see:  :yikes:        :banghead:        :swear:

j/k - can't wait to be camping neighbors again!

I just Googled "Cape Henlopen" for my sanity....  is this the place??

That's the only Cape Henlopen I know that would be in the COTC area.  I like camping in Delaware.  It's the drive to the campgrounds THROUGH Delaware that is PAINFUL!

I assume Cape Henlopen still requires parking on the asphalt and doesn't have electricity - right?

How can a drive through Delaware be painful?  I used to live in Dover and go to Newark for classes - I traveled half the state in that drive...

Now, a native Delawaren will brake for shadows...  :p

Since we live north of Philadelphia, we have to go through Wilmington and Dover.  Weekend traffic from the PA state line up to Dover is HORRIBLE -- and that wasn't even on a race weekend!  Once past Dover, it's not that bad, I guess.

We live in central PA, but have the same trouble.  476 south, to 95, south to Del. 1 south.  Traffic, traffic and more traffic.

Hi Gangue,

Sorry I didn't check back sooner..

I've acknowledged my error in not posting a link, or the state. Mea Culpa  :)

Yes to the asphalt pad, and no electricity, but they do have water hookups.

It's a fairly short trip for me, mileage wise, since I drive down to Cape May, NJ and take the ferry.

tlhdoc,
I got GREAT directions from shebantam last year on how to get down to Delaware from the Lancaster area.  I don't know where exactly you are located, but I'm thinking you're from around Harrisburg.  We got off the PA turnpike at Harrisburg and took 283 east to 30 east to 41 east/south into Delaware and then you hop directly onto Rt 1, I believe.  Yes, there were traffic lights, but the drive was much more scenic and calm and it took us only 6 hours from Raystown Lake, PA to Rehoboth, DE.  It normally takes us 4 hours to go from Raystown Lake to Willow Grove, PA and then another 3 hours (or so) to Rehoboth from home, so we thought it was pretty good time-wise.
