Subject: Baby Girl in San Antonio Needs A Family

An adoption agency in San Antonio has asked Hope for Orphans for help in
seeking a family for a special needs little girl born last week. (See
pictures attached taken yesterday.)

This baby girl will be placed in basically a closed adoption, since
parental rights have been terminated.
She is currently at University Hospital in San Antonio and was born with
the following special needs.
1. Dandy Walker Syndrome. This is a cyst in back of the brain that in
some cases needs a shunt implanted to relieve fluid. The preliminary
diagnosis is that this is a mild case with out direct brain injury. However, there is a significant possibility that this problem will result in developmental
delays and possibly more serious neurological issues.
2. VSD and ASD. These are holes in the walls separating the chambers of
the| heart. The ASD is very small and should resolve on its own. The
Ventricular Septal Defect is larger and might require ONE open heart surgery to repair in about 2 years or sooner.
3. Suspected Fetal Alcohol Exposure or Syndrome. The birth mom did admit
to some alcohol use during the pregnancy. This can have serious results
with development, behavior and cognitive ability.
This little girl has red hair and appears to be doing well. She is still
on a feeding tube with bottle feeding as well. The birth mother is
Caucasian and the birth father is Hispanic. The agency is very willing to work
with interested families on a reduced fee basis since she is considered hard
to place.
The child will need a very special family that will need to consider
carefully the commitment and sacrifices required to raise her. Please
forward this to anyone you think might be interested are able to help.
For more information have anyone interested give me a call at
210-865-4307 or by email.

Please pray for this little girl with that hair!

BTW - I can't get the picture to paste, but she has a headful of red hair, yawnling, a feeding tube in, and looks to be a new born!
