Fort Wilderness

We are headed to Fort Wilderness on Wednesday for a week of fun in the sun with Mickey.  Our son is too old now (19) to vacation with Mom & Dad, so we are taking most of our nieces and nephews.  Ages 13, 11, 10 and 7.  I am praying for nice weather and a safe trip down and back home.  We are leaving Wednesday afternoon and driving past Atlanta.  Should make for a not too bad drive in on Thursday.

I liked Fort Wilderness a lot - the only thing I missed was it's not really Disney-themed.  Good for those who can get too much Mickey, I guess, but I wanted to see Disney pictures in the bathrooms, Mickey ears at each campsite with the campsite number on them, etc.  If the kids have been to the hotels and are hoping for Disney theme, you might warn them so they aren't too dissapointed like I was.  Um, I mean, like my kids were of course...  :p

Hope you guys have a wonderful time!  Be sure to bring raincoats - that middle-of-the-day rain in Orlando seems to be pretty consistant.  Disney World is one of my favorite places in the world, and I hope the nieces and nephews come back as starry eyed as I...  err, my kids always do!
