Trying to get a little more efficiency out of the camper fridge, I installed a small fan in the back compartment. It works great and cools faster too. Pictures can be found Here  One of the things I've noticed on our Mesa is that the counter above the fridge tends to get pretty warm over time. This mod also helps move that warm air out.

We did this mod also, the first year we had the Utah.

It works great. Along with a small interior refrigerator fan, the unit cools much better than it ever did.

Nice job on the mod Skip,  it gave me some idea's how I can improve mine.  And here I thought you did this mod as an excuse to "change" your fridge vent.....

Hey Skip, nice job!

Where exactly did you connect the wiring for the fan? I have installed a very similar fan in my coleman, and placed the switch up between the front bunk and galley, but I have not connected the wiring to the trailer. I'm not sure which place is the best to use.

Thanks

Steve, the fan is 12vdc and I tied it into the fridge circuit.... right in the compartment. I considered putting a switch inside... and still may... but for now, the switch is in the fridge access compartment.
