I think I owe a big thank you to everyone I met over here !

I was supported and motivated by you all. I was/am going through some very difficult times  maritally, professionaly and  financially, and thanks to all the support I was able to keep my sanity and stay on the right path.

I know I sometimes shared little bit too much information, thanks for choosing to ignore that and preferring to push me in the right direction without criticizing ! Cultural differences are to blame on that :)

If it weren't for PUT, thinks would probably be very different for me and my family right now.

I promise to keep you all posted of our adventures with Finally which is today declared to be trip ready at last ! Pictures to come soon !

Yahoo! Am looking forward to meeting you (and seeing the popup) in Gettysburg. We've had our share of hard times too so we can relate. Somehow, camping makes it all better  :D  or at least tolerable. See you soon.

without the hard times you can't appreciate the good ones! we all have had our ups and downs in life! but looking to tomorrow always helps, and having a cheering crowd and friends shoulders to cry on, makes it a little easier to get there.

There's a lot of us on the board who are or have gone thru what you have been going thru...(me for one)... and the people here are the reason why I wanted to stay.. they are caring, understanding, and usually non-critical.

We're here for you and hopefully you'll be able to come into Ohio to camp and we'll be able to join you.

Thanks for the move Mr. Moderator ...

I must have had a lapse of judgement posting it in general. Yeah Yeah I know, I do not have lapses of judgement, I have lapses of straight thinking :)

We have never had the pleasure of meeting Birol, but know that sometimes you bring out the best in us!!!!!!

the above remark is SO true. (thanks jstaddwtr.)  Your words made me stop and think a bit about exactly why so many of us have come to care so much about Birol and Babette and their family.  it seems to me that   Birol represents all of us who have ever struggled to stay afloat in a sea of problems and--at the same time--have tried to hold on to our dreams and not become soured on life.

If he has shared a bit  "too much information" with us now and then as he says--well, we have all been guilty of that from time to time and it is soon forgotten anyhow.  The main thing is that we know he has overcome many obstacles and has not let them stop him or turn him into someone mean-spirited who treats others unkindly or unfairly.  Bravo for Birol, and bravo for this board full of good people who truly do uphold the idea of "community" here.

Isn't sitting around the "campfire" where you get to know everyone... if you don't share some of your personal life, how are you to know someone.  You can't always talk about camping 24/7 and get to really know someone.

Yes, AM10, you are so right! And this is one reason I dont understand the complaints which have sometimes come about the nature of silly or far-out remarks made at the campfire forum. It's a real tribute to the members that so many of us feel free to reveal personal problems and triumphs---just as we would around a real campfire after we've chugged down a few cool ones and get feeling mellow and comfortable with each other. It's nice to write whatever comes to us at a given moment and not have to label it "OT" anymore, isnt it?

(Hey, Nancy, miss ya! Would love to stop for coffee one of these times cruising along I-75 through ol' Cincinnatti Town even though it wont work out this time :() )
