This weekend, DH and I had a chance to go camping all alone.  Well, almost all alone, we had Lil Spanky with us too, which is the same as taking a small child, lol.   But, the weather was great, temps in the 70's and absolutely clear skies.   (low temps in the 40's, strange for July)   Rick had an extra day off, so we left early sat morning, and stayed til today, getting home this afternoon.
We finally remembered to take the hummingbird feeder with us, and within a very short time of putting it up, there were a pair of hummingbirds there.   I always wonder how they find it, in all those woods.   It was a nice quiet time, and we saw several deer, including one very young one, a couple of redtailed hawks, some turkeys, and Rick got to video tape a baby porcupine when he went on a walk.    We took Lil Spanky to the river (Pere Marquette) so she could go swimming and she loved it.
This time we saw lots of PU's on the road, most of them heading north on 131, but there were several on U.S.10 too.   All kinds, mostly Starcraft, tho.    Did talk to some very nice people at a rest area just north of the Newaygo exit, who said they were heading to Big Star Lake.    I told them about PUT, and they sounded interested, and said they would check us out.   I was looking for PUT stickers, aways do, but didn't see any.   Maybe someday.
Well, just thought i'd share our fun with y'all.

It was a nice Sat & Sun in NJ too. (Friday was a rainout).

On Sat, we pulled the popup off the hill its been on, opened it up, removed what we needed & let it air out a bit. It's now in a better location, on level ground and looks good in front of the screen room. Once our permanent CG closes in October, we'll be taking the popup out until the ice & snow move into the area. I found a way to add the mixer faucet to the top of the sink (new top coming from our dealer since the original warped from moisture) so we'll have the original pump faucet and the mixer faucet mounted properly and permanently. Added a lock to the outlet for our power, so we can leave the trailer plugged in to the surge protector during the week without worry that someone will take it. Spent the rest of the day watching the stream, (which finally re-appeared) and had visits from  3 Does with 4 fawns plus our other regular creatures (except the snake).

Sunday afternoon, I hooked up a new DVD/VCR to the new 15" LCD tv in the TT. We picked up a DVD movie at Hollywood Video and tried it out about 8pm. Love the picture and surround sound effect. Arrived home just after 11pm and went to bed.

Next weekend, as there's nothing more to do with either trailer for a while, we'll just lounge around and maybe go for a hike near the Delaware River. It will be the first of 3-in-a-row 3-day weekends for us. (We're taking the next three Mondays as vacation days).

Saw lots of popups traveling Route 80 this weekend, (no stickers), and the bulk were also Starcraft.

Summer is beginning to run away again. I always wish the weeks were shorter and weekends longer. Having to work on Sat mornings really curtails my time in the woods.  :(
