This is my first true SPUT.  Returning from our recent trip to Destin FL, I backed the camper into the driveway, no problem.  Got everything unhooked, no problem. Popped the camper up to start unpacking, no problem.  Opened the door to go in, found a problem!  I had neglected to put the little catch pin in place on the refridgerator door before we left the campground!  Arg!!!  Packages of cheese and turkey, tub of butter, jug of OJ, boneless chicken breasts (full unused package) all over the place.  No spills but a hassle that some of it had to be trashed.  The very worst part about it was,  all the left over beers and Smirnoff Ice that were going to be so nice and cold and thoroughly refreshing after the hot labor of unpacking, were rolling all over the camper getting nice and warm in the 90 degree heat on the 6 hour ride home! DOUBLE ARRRGG!!  At least Smirnoff Ice can be enjoyed over ice!  Lesson learned.  Check the fridge pin before closing up the camper.

Nice going MOMMAMIA !!!! next time put the alcoholic stuff in the cooler safely , that way you will forget immediately what happened after the first few sips :)

Hopefully the cleanup was easy and quick.

I did the same thing on an 8 hour pull, from Houston MN. to Omaha NE. It must have been 90 degrees out, and I forgot to latch the fridge. Haven't ever forgot since then!

The dorm fridge that I had in my first PU would do that, and it didn't have a travel latch. I eventually installed a couple of eyelets and used a small bungee cord.

One thing I like about my Hybrid, is the automatic lock mechanism on the door. Kind of pain every time you open it, but I'm used to it now!
