We drove thru to check it out sin ce we live about an hour away... It is very crowded, and the sites are very close to each other. Lots of stuff to do, but a bit to crowded  for my taste.

I have been at Beachcomber a few times.  Twice in the cabins they have on site which is great.  But I camped there once in our pop up and was not thrilled.  The sites for pop up's were small and the bathrooms only got cleaned 2x per day, not to mention pay showers.  Plus when it rained the sites got all covered in puddles.  We just returned from another resort located in that Rio Grande/ Cape May area called Cape Island Campground.  We were impressed by the sites.  We stayed in the pull throughs sites with cable.  The bathrooms were always nice a clean , still a quarter for a shower, but was able to wash all of me on the one quarter. Hurricaine Bonnie and Charlie sent us lots of rain, no big puddles.  The game room & snack bar was nice for my son in the rain. We plan on booking a week there next summer.  The said they start reservations in April.

I was there in early August. Not that bad but I will try something else when I return. Keep the reviews coming on southern NJ campsites. We use every one.

I stayed there last summer, and we all loved it!  The pay showers were kind of a bummer, but the pros outweighed the inconvinience.  And honesly, the kids couldn't be bothered to take showers anyway!  They have a ton of kids programs, a pool and a swimming lake, gameroom, and some other activities.  We had a decent sized site, and it was only 2 away from the bathrooms (tho they were small and often crowded).
It's a great location, too, right between Wildwood and Cape May.

Camped at beachcomber 5 times My Kids love it. Mainly for all the activities going on and all the other kids that are there. Even though we have a pop up we always get an Ultra VIP site. These sites are a bit larger and have concrete patios lamp post EWS and Cable I like it for the Chioce of Pools and (the have three pools each with it's own kiddie pool. The sandy Beach at the lake is nice too. We bring our 3 man Inflatable boat and row around the lake. Beach Comber does have More Seasonals sites the regular sites but I think thats what keeps the activelty  so plentiful. While staying on our forth trip at beachcomber we drove through for other campgrounds all in that same area - The next year we wnt back to Beachcomber - Though it was the best.
