campgrounds in highland county (monterey) va?

anyone know of camogrounds open in oct/nov in the general vicinity? looking to camp for hunting season with the pu.

There should be some in the George Washington National Forest, but I am only familiar with those in Bath and Rockbridge Counties, not Highland.  I would call the Highland County Chamber of Commerce in Monterey..you probably can get their number from the Recorder Newspaper - 540-468-2147.

I drive through there all the time. I haven't seen any. I have seen people camping along the roadside in the mountains. One place is across from the roadside park just off 250, Seneca Rocks has one but, I think that is in West Virginia, not to far from Highland County.
