Outer Banks Question

I looked at the pictures you provided and they look great! Ihave a silly qyestion, i dont see any grills or fire pits............how does one cook?


Also we are torn,we are thinking about staying at one of the national parks? Do youhave a favorite?

Bring a grill and/or camping stove.

Gone-Camping

Open fires are not permitted on the Island unless they are on the beach and below the high tide line. They don't have a sophisticated fire dept, it's just a small volunteer unit and covers a lot of area. I believe those are National Park Service rules, which seem to apply on the Island even in the populated area's...

We bring a small charcoal grill, and the trailer has a propane stove, plus I got the old Coleman Pump-up gas stove too!

You  have all been very helpful, we still are need help making a few decisions,,,,,,,,hope you can all help. we want to do all the usual things like jockey ridge the aquarium, fort raleigh and pea island, and charter fishing. We aslo want to go down to hatteras and oracocke, should we split out time and camp in by oregon inlet and then move to Frisco or can we just base out of on place/ is the drive between the two place a far drive? ( given we dont drive on the weekend)
