I almost didnt want to post about this--it is still so painful for all of us, but I imagine that  sometime today, wherever you are, all of you have paused for a moment in the  midst of your daily lives to remember lovingly  those who died that day, and the brave men and women who have died since in their efforts to make freedom possible for all of us.

And of course, for the survivors of those lost that day, there will never be a moment without thoughts of how hideously  the world changed forever for them  that day

And let us also give thanks for those who continue in the service of our  country and for the daily sacrifices their loved ones make.  No matter how we may feel about the wisdom (or not) of invading Iraq, THESE people have put their lives on the line for us.

I still find it ironic that rich old men (politicians) are still sending young people (OUR sons &  daughters)  out to die.  Maybe it would be a more peaceful world if each battalion contained a senator or  other elected official at THE HEAD OF THE COLUMN.
