It's been 3 years since this country we love so much was attacked by crazy madmen for a cause we could never come to know or understand and leave in its wake much heartache we could never fathom.

PUT is how I found out about the attack.  Someone posted, "Turn on your TV!"  What awful memories.  :(

I thought about it all day long after witnessing it on live TV that day. At the time, I was a medical officer on the Ashland City Fire Department (13 years fire service), and it really hit home with me. We did the math, and it would have been the equivalent of us losing 5 or 6 of our own members. That drove it home for us.

I don't know about any of you, but I'LL never forget.

And as I recall, Charlie was one of the unsung heroes who  went to Ground Zero to offer his assistance.  Our country is made up of people like him and all the others who offered aid in many, many ways that most people never hear about.  We are a nation of wonderful citizens--just everyday people going about their lives  and doing "the right thing" when they see a need.

living right here where it happen is even worse! i saw it, I saw the towers burn, i saw them fall, i lived with the smell, the smog of the burning debree, the ash flying for miles. I lived thru the lock down of the city. It was my train line that got hit . My nephew was a marine that went over and helped clear the airport.

I won't be forgetting it.

I hope we can keep this one thread on topic?
Please do not politicize this thread, it is not for that purpose.

Thanks

I second the idea that this thread is not an appropriate place for  controversy  and that  our main  focus in it  should be on showing our respect and  support  for all those  who were touched by the events of this tragic day.

(And  If we want to get into a political discussion, we could  always start a separate thread for that purpose)

thanks, Charlie, for the timely reminder.

Thank you Charlie!

This thread was meant to remember those who died, honor those who came in, like you, for the rescue/clean up. Also it could be a wake up call for those who think it could never happen to them/or again. That it why it is titled Never Forget!

I never meant it to sound angry.  Just for folks to be aware.

Thank you for your cooperation.

BTW I read the book in the end the good guys win;)
