Well, we're having some serious camping withdrawals, but if all continues to go well, we should have the best new thing we could think of to buy for our camper....a new (to us) house with a yard, a big driveway, a garage, and NO homeowners rules keeping us from having the PU at home!!!  We had been waffling back and forth for months about actually doing this. Finally we just decided the heck with it, the market has been unbelievable here so we'd spruce up our townhouse a little, put it on the market, and if it sold it sold, if not, at least we have a place to live.  We spent three weekends and many week nights after work cleaning, painting the inside of all three stories of this place, replacing dated bathroom vanities, medicine cabinets, shower doors, all sorts of little things that take up time. We rented a storage unit and stored tons of "clutter" to make the place look bigger.  A week ago Monday night we went to talk to a realtor to see what we needed to do to put it up for sale.  We were then thrown into the whirlwind....by noon the very next day (Tuesday) we'd been preapproved for the financing, our home was listed on the market, by quite a bit more than we expected to get for it...by dinner time on Wednesday we had an offer for more than we even asked and another for the amount we asked!  We were shocked and THRILLED to say the least.  We went out on Thursday afternoon and evening and looked at several houses and found nothing we liked, then we went out on Saturday and looked at 12 more!!!   The very last house on the list...the one I wasn't as thrilled with the outside of...was the one we absolutely fell in love with. We went back and put in a contract and were supposed to have to wait until Monday night to get the answer.  Somehow we lucked out and they called us on Sunday at noon to let us know our offer had been accepted.  So.....now it's all the paperwork time, the various home inspections, and the waiting until closing the last weekend of October. A few weeks of sitting on pins and needles hoping everything goes well.  All of this have totally knocked out several wonderful fall camping weekends so far, our long trip the first week of October, and our Halloween trip...BUT...if all goes well we'll have a new house and the PU won't have to live at a storage lot.  I'm soooooo excited I can hardly stand it!!!

Wow, What great news, you can have the pop up near you all the time, and even camp in your driveway if you want!!!!:):)

Yep..that may be all the camping we get to do this year, but it will all be worth it in the long run!

What great news!  How exciting, I would have to keep my camper at a storage lot, but if I ever get another one, I'd be in the same boat.

Congrats!
