Just thought I would let ya all know..

I am in the running for a new job, no career! I am in process of being interviewed (think many phone calls) for a position with Progressive Ins. as a heavy truck appraiser. pay is great, company car (laptop, cell, expense account ect..) Bennies up the Yazoo.. Profit sharing, bonuses..... But. they make it very hard to "just get a job" and are very picky. I have a phone interview Friday with the "personality person" and if I pass her, I get to go to the "Tech. guy" And from there if I pass him, I either have them come out here to meet me or get flown out to them (I think Ohio from their area code) to do a heavy truck estimate at a salvage yard..
 
Only down side is I only do maybe 3-5% Heavy Equip. now.. So I hope my car experience pulls thru.. Major change here, Heck the gas savings alone if they provide gas under that company car & expense account can be $500 a month!!
 
So keep me in your prayers.. We need a break like this.

Lee, my BIL got a job doing something similar. He now appraises boats (big, high-$$$ boats..... he's quite busy right now...LOL). Thing is, he had no experience with this specialized type of work. They hired him based on his abilities. Ya got a good chance and I'm rootin' for you!

Hey Lee, come on down here for a weekend, and we'll run you through the mill... I work for a heavy Truck Dealer, and deal with several more, both mechanical and body. I'm sure I could hook you up with some people that could provide real positive pointers!!

Lee, that is terrific news...and boy, let me tell you..after the month we're going through...good news of any kind is a boost!     You should have no problem passing a personality person..you're well loved and respected here by many of us who don't even know you!
