Good grief.. Can I possiably have a worse day?? I end up begging a small loan from my dad to pay for the repair work on my wifes van tranny. (not a ton, but $350 I didn't have right now..) So I get it all back in the van and my wife thought I asked her to go to the store and buy me 3 "quarts" of tranny fluid, I needed 3 gallons.. So off I go in my Jeep to get more (oh, yea... she drove it last) I pull into the parts store and turn off the Jeep and go to pull out my keys.. There are no keys!! My jeep can keep the ingition unlocked if you don't hit that button and still be started. Of course, I hit the button to take out the keys and locked the ingition.. So after a long time of trying to get thru on the phone, she has to drive my keys out to me. I button the van up, all looks good. So I go for about a 15 mile test drive.. I get home and it is leaking just as bad!!!! Aughhhhhhhh....
So I am lets just say a wee bit mad..
My cell phone has a message so I go to my desk to check it and while I am there I scroll my e-mail.. Freaking great!!!! I got a e-mail that I did not get that dang job.. So now that I am calmed down enough, I am going to go spend a couple hours pulling the tranny out for the third time this week.. I suppose the tranny shop is a Mon-Fri deal to boot!! Oh yea, it is raining so the van is dripping everywhere.

Can someone just hit me in the head with a hammer?? :banghead:

Oh Lee I am so sorry about the job.  I hope you can get the tranny fixed this time. :eyecrazy:

Oh. My. Gosh. Lee :(     Sounds like a really hellish day all around.:( )

(But just think--you had all the bad stuff happen today and it isnt all spread out over 3 or 4 days-- so tomorrow will be better.

Now tonight before you go to bed, go look at those 4 beautiful little angels asleep in their beds.  Then go find Andi--and  you will see the things which make it all worthwhile and make days like today just a miserable nuisance to be gotten over, not nearly as important as those 5 loving people you live with and the loving God you serve so faithfully.  :S

So sorry to hear of your troubles.  I wish you better luck this time with the tranny.

I'm sure the right job will come along... it's their loss.

I am getting too good at pulling this out.. 1.5 hours it took me to jack the van, yank the tranny, bag it in a heavy duty trash bag (it's raining) hook the trailer to my Jeep & load the tranny in it. Then go take a shower & get dressed..

Stupid me though.. I should of waited for my wife to help me load the tranny.. I picked it up myself. Problem is I have  orthoarthritis in my lower back, I can feel it starting up already.

Welp, Now problem is that Andi is working tomorow. I have a Jeep that seats 4 and 5 people that need to go.. If the shop is open tomorow I need to probably have my dad drive 25 miles here and bring someone with him.. Let's hope the shop does not give me the run around.. Thay have alway been very honest & fair.. (and I work with shops in this area.. I know the crooks)

Maybe this will make you feel a little better, knowing you are not the only one having vehicle problems.  We bought a car for better mileage and to keep miles off of the TV.  We had it 2 1/2 weeks and the tranny went.  It was an "as is" purchase.  The dealer was going to pay 1/2 for a used tranny, but I wanted rebuilt so we didn't end up with the same problem again in a few months.  The dealer took the car to Aamco (don't know how much it will be), got it back on Thursday and took it for a test drive.  The check engine light came on. :eyecrazy:   Next week they have to look at that and try and figure out what is wrong now.  DH's truck has had the check engine light on for weeks.  Replaced the sensor, gas cap, vacuum lines and something else.  He made a heat shield for the sensor and that seemed to work for a few days and then the check engine light came back on again  .
