We went on our first camping trip of the year, last weekend (oct. 8 thru oct. 11).  It was great.  We camped at Dan Nicholas park, it has a wonderful campground and a great public park for the kids to enjoy.  It is only about 20 minutes from our house, and thanks to that it was the only way we got to camp this year.

My sister and her grandkids, me, DH, and girls went.  We were at sites across from each other.  If it had not been for my sister, this trip would not have been possible.

My middle daughter has had problems the last couple of times camping, so we were concerned as to whether she would be able to camp anymore.  DD expressed interest in staying with my sister the last time we visited her at Dan Nicholas Park, so we cooked up this camping trip with the thought that DD could stay in her TT if she wanted too.  Also one of my other sisters at home was going to keep her and let us finish our trip if she had any problems.

DD had no problems and had a great time along with the other kids.  We got to go camping, and really enjoyed camping with my sister.  My other DD's had a great time as always.

Even though there is time left this year for more trips, they will have to wait until next year because of my last year of college.  At least now we know that everything should be okay, and after my graduation in May 2005 we can plan some trips.  What a happy day that will be!

Just had to share my joy with you, have a great day.

NCS,there is just nothing better than going camping and seeing ALL your kids having a great time:#:#  If it had to be your last  camping trip for a while, at least  it ended on a high note.  And it was good wearher then, too.  (Raining here today  here on our side of the ridge.)

And CONGRATULATIONS  about the May graduation news! :S  :#  :M
I know how hard it is to go back and finish as an adult--did it when our girls were little and it is quite a challenge to keep everything together on the homefront and still get decent grades:W  (And it is great for kids to see that Mom can do things like this.)

It's not quantity of trips, it's QUALITY of the time away.  Glad you got to get out this year and that you had fun!
