This was our second camping trip at the Lowes Motor Speedway and both trips have been alot of fun.  My son and my dad spent 3 great days at the track.  We met lots of nice people-the best was our next door neighbor, also in a pop-up.  They had 2 boys that played with my son during the day with the two races both at night.  The traffic at our camp site was not bad, so all the boys could ride their bikes.

The campground was no hook-ups, so dry camping preparation is needed.  We did alot better this time since we now have a generator (Honda eu2000i).  The race track also maintains a very nice bath house, although I did have to wait about 30min in line-probally would have been shorter if I had gone earlier.

If you have ever though about camping at a race track, I would higly recommend it.  It really expands the whole racing experience!

Sounds like you had a great time! We always dry camp at Richmond, and I always enjoy it. Richmond also has one small "bathhouse", but it is too far away from where we camp to use conveniently. We just take "spitbaths" with hot water from the camper stove. We have never had another popup beside us...always large RV's, but they are okay, too.

Maybe we will look into tickets for Lowes next year..although I understand they are more expensive than Richmond. And I hope someone else (other than the LOWES CAR) wins there eventually!!! It's getting a little predictable, if you know what I mean!!!
