Recently, I have seen positions advertised for RV sales persons in my area, and have considered doing that for my career.  Have any of you ever though about combining your love of camping with your career aspirations?  Does anyone do that now?

Many many times I have thought about it. But my free time is very limited now, to weekends, and I work 60 hrs+ per week. If I were still doing staff nursing, I would now consider it, I think. Most of the time I am telling the sales staff about THEIR products. The only question I ever have is their price, which they often don't know either!

I don't think sales people get to go camping much.  They have to work when everyone else is going camping. :)

CJ and I work for our Jayco/Fleetwood (fka Coleman) dealer for the winter camping shows in January and February or is it February or March??? Anyway - it's a lot of fun.  We haven't worked on commission - but have been paid hourly.

It helps a lot as owners to be able to effectively and enthusiastically sell the product.  It's something that we both seriously consider doing as a retirement career.

Good luck with your decision!!!
