I have to comment on the goldfish memory thing.
On a past episode of "Mythbusters", they set up mazes for  goldfish to swim through to get to a food reward.
They showed that they "remembered" the way.
If their memory was only 3 seconds, they couldn't have been conditioned to "run the maze".
Anybody else see that episode besides my wife?

Interesting stuff.

I saw it, and yes they busted the goldfish three second memory, there are several other "truths" in the list that are suspect if not outright wrong.

My favorite unknow fact: The QWERTY keyboard arrangement was developed to SLOW DOWN early typewriters.
Early typewriters would often have key jams from the speed. So an arrangement was found for the keyboard to slow them down causing less jams.
